Amber Boxing Equipment?

Dan, how much gym work have you done in them so far?
Looks good...new almost.
Can't wait for your review.

quite honestly, not enough. Maybe Ten rounds on the heavy bag. I've gone like five rounds on the mitts, and about fifteen rounds on the double end bag (been using them for double end mostly since they feel much lighter and are much more compact). They are way too hard to spar in. I need to get them weighed. I'm about 220 lbs, and have sensitive knuckles (wussy). I always try to start off light when I use them on the heavy bag, but I always end up swapping them out for my old IMFs. They have a couple of scars on them, but they're near the finger area of the gloves (I'll post pics this weekend hopefully). They are beautiful though. No doubt about that.

Is anyone familiar with this brand? I saw that they had some 26 oz gloves. I thought someone mentioned them in a different forum as being better than they looked on the site. If anyone has any experience with them I would appreciate the response.

most of the stuff looks and feels like re-branded ringside gear.

I might try a pair of their standard hook and loops in 16oz. Only 40 bucks on Amazon. At that price.....it could be a steal.

but if you have other gloves.. unless youre going to give them away.. what's the point?

I only see them for $73.31 and they are out of stock.

Do you have the link?

earlier on the thread, someone wrote that most of the rest of their gear is crap... I only bought them cause that someone said that the invincible line was good. Just a warning

That's what I bought, but I got them for around 50. Prices do fluctuate.

I just picked up two pairs of Ringside Ultimate Classic gloves for cheap (Super Bag and the Training gloves) and I plan on getting a 16oz pair of the Invincible gloves (I just love the brown haha) so I'll have to take some comparison pics when I get all of em!

I'm thinking about picking up a pair of 20 oz Amber Professional Hook and Loop Training Gloves, anybody still have them/like them? $32 and free shipping on ebay (seller has 3 pair) they also have 'The Champ' branded 16 oz gloves for similar money.

NOT ANYMORE! I bought all of them!

In all seriousness, $32 is a pretty good deal for 20 oz gloves. The 'Invincible' line were much too hard for anything, and very tight.

Haha, no need to be selfish and get all 3! I do think I'll get them, they are consistently over $70 everywhere online, also there are some 18 oz UMA's in green and gold on there if you don't mind somebody else's initials on them, $50 and no bids right now

I was going to bid on those potentially, but I will stand down if you are going to bid (don't need them). They belong to a forum member actually. He used to post a ton. TDG is not the worst initials. I've purchased two or three from him (great deals, winning gear). He's a good seller.

Thanks! at some point I'm going to order custom UMA's so someone else got them for $50. I follow him now, at least 1 pair of nice gloves a week it seems. But I might be able to spend $32 on what may be decent 20 oz gloves before I get UMAs

Happy 4th everyone. Here's a review I did for an Amber boxing glove. First video tho so bear with me as I figure this out.

After mulling it over for several months, and not buying anything on black Friday, I bought a set of the 20 oz leather gloves from Ebay, $34 and free shipping, we'll see how they do...

Well... after having been paid for almost 3 weeks, the gloves finally shipped. The listing says ships from within USA, but I found out that these folks are in a different country. So I assume they send it to Texas from India or Pakistan and then ship from there, the gloves only shipped after I emailed them threatening to open an eBay case against them. I do not recommend buying anything from the seller virventures_us

Now I'm wondering just what will arrive at my door next week haha

UPDATE:
They sent me 8 oz 'The Champ' gloves, not leather. I am returning and I would really like to leg kick the bums...
