Agreed. With Andrade being 1-1 with Rose and keeping herself relevant by unseating the #1 ranked woman at the weight above in order to stay the flyweight #1 herself, I think her return to fly should be closer to contention than Joanna or Weili, even after having lost to both in the past.

Even as fun as a fight with Lemos sounds, Andrade fighting #10 means I expect to see announcements soon for Zhang vs Jandiroba and Joanna vs Hill.
 
seems like no one wanted to fight either of them so they just put them together.
Big chance for lemos, even if Andrade is unranked beating a former champ should throw you up there in the title contender list.

Gonna be a fuckin' banger. Lemos has good albeit not exceptional Muay Thai in terms of technique and a fuckton of power for a Strawweight. She looked like "the next big thing" for a while there... but she arguably lost that fight against Hill after Round 1. Almost looked like a one-trick pony of a knockout artist. I feel like she'll be outgunned against Andrade who has over twice as much experience in MMA, has faced immensely higher tiers of competition, possesses superior grappling chops, has plenty of knockout power of her own, and better cardio to boot.

Lemos's only hope is to exploit her superior reach and land big counter-shots in the first half of the fight to either win rounds or (T)KO Andrade. That's a legitimate possibility, especially since Jessica is abruptly dropping back down to SW (possible weight cut shenanigans?) and her knockout power at 115 -- while impressive -- may or may not match Amanda's IMO. That being said, that outcome is by no means one I would bet on and beyond that I feel like Lemos is gonna get swarmed in boxing/wrestling exchanges by the more proven and experienced fighter (who's used to being the smaller girl fighting technical strikers, mind you).

Joanna vs Hill is a slaughter. No way that fight happens.
 
Good matchmaking, if Lemos is going to make an impact it has to be soon, she's four years older than Andrade.
 
This is a pretty good fight. I'm going to go against the grain and say Lemos stops her from the clinch like Zhang did.

Yea she had a tough time with Hill but Angela is a movement heavy pitter patter striker and Lemos is a bit more flat footed stalking Thai style of a fighter.

Andrade will meet Lemos in the middle and not bounce all around in and out of range and throw down with her.

Yes there was. Hill tagged her up pretty good in an exciting kickboxing fight. A fight that won FOTN.

If you think there was no struggle then you don’t know fighting.
