USADA is really damaging the sport right now. Zuffas hunt for legitimacy might be backfiring.

As a fan, I really only want to see the best of the best fighting top competition. How these guys (and girls) reach their peak is really none of my business. I feel there is a huge lack of understanding about PEDs amongst the general population of sport fans. A lot of people are under the assumption that PEDs are a shortcut to greatness. No one ever talks about the prelim guys who are also doping and never get their name anywhere, because they just aren't good enough. Like any sport, from MMA to baseball, these guys are top level. They dedicate their whole life to their respective sport and at one point or another they reach their threshold naturally.

Everyone wants to see the sport develop, wants exciting fights, wants fighters to have long lasting careers but the second they test positive for anything a lot of "fans" are up and arms and dismiss the fighter as some sort of fake. Time to wake up people. Welcome to the world of pro sports.

If everyone was allowed to use and they were somewhat regulated then I wouldn't give a fuck. PED's are much safer now then they were in the past and they help with a lot more than just making a fighter stronger....

SO should fighting at heavyweight be a felony too? I really don't understand your argument here. Brain damage happens all the time in fight sports, especially by the larger fighters.

I think you're exaggerating the gains of peds quite a bit. Sure they help but they don't turn you into Superman and the weight classes will still be weight classes.

No. Artificially enhancing your performance through illegal means is not akin to fighting at heavyweight.

Having that "little extra" on your shots is what makes loading your gloves or using ped's so effective, yet I've never heard anyone make an argument for why we should let fighters plaster their hands.

Now, fighters using PED's is essentially the same thing: They know they're cheating. They don't sleep well at night. They're fucking miserable. I don't want them to be, so I'm against doing PED's.
