I mean, they both lost to the same guys. I think both of their recent losses in years have come by the hands of Reem and the champ.

This is clearly the fight to make in the HW division. A fight i would favor Arlovski in, but it's basically 50/50.

No. Arlovski is a good striker and has statistically the best takedown defense in the HW division.

As per usual, the problem with AA will be if Werdum lands something moderately hard on him, he will freeze up.

no rules....any top elite fighter have chances to win another....more or less chanes but chances

I would say Werdum is the favorite, but these guys are heavyweights. No one would be surprised if arlovski knocked Werdum out

Anything can happen in MMA. Even more at HW. Land something decent on the right spot and anyone can go down. AA has excellent TDD and could keep it standing and land something significant on Werdum, who has not the best striking defense.

Styles make fights also

Anything can happen in the HW division which makes it fun yet frustrating at the same time. These guys need to realize that their size doesn't correlate to their chin.
So you have a division with guys with normal chins yet extremely powerful punches. This is why every other fight ends in a Ko in this division and we rarely see any good technique or hard fought battles in the UFC heavyweight Division.

I don't think Werdum can handle the onslaught that Andrei put early in the fight against Reem. I favor Arlovski, he already has the mental edge cus he beat him the first time they fought.

Tru. That's why Bigfoot/Hunt 1 is so special.

The first fight was a snoozefest. I think a rematch might be more exciting but both guys coming of ko losses could make them very cautious to engage. I dont think werdum could get AA down though.

I dont think thats the fight to make and i would favor Werdum to win the fight if it happened.

werdum would win easily if he dont run at him and say "knock me the fuck out!" until it happens, like he did against Stipe. I think werdum watched the struve fight and thought the exact same thing would occur. Stipe i think has improved since then eh? smh

Arlovski has really put a low output in his last bouts and fought a bit timidly, I can't see him use Werdum's aggression against him like Stipe did. Fabricio still has a much better chin despite just getting KTFO, and I'm sure we won't see him leave such blatant openings as he did saturday.

I would like to see this fight. It'll be a good fight to make to determine if Arlovski should quit fighting.

nope, i could see it happen. arolovski is has much better hands

That's the problem with hw everyone has too much power that's why there's never been a dominant champ in the history of the division like Jones to lhw silva to mw Gsp to ww

Honest to G-d truth, bro. If Arlovski fought like he did against Browne, I could see him annihilating Werdum and, I think he would fight this way. He fights much better when he has either fought them before, or knows them.

Look at AA vs Browne. They are close friends and were training partners.
Look at AA v Silva. First time around, not good for AA. Second time, AA destroyed him.
Look at AA v Sylvia. AA kicked the crap out of him, literally in the last fight.

If AA fought Werdum again, he would dominate him heavily...HOWEVER...AA needs to fight confident like he did against Browne. The minute he gets clocked on the chin, he freaks out. He has to put this aside. Also, AA has one of the, if not the, best TD defence in the whole division so Werdum would have a hard time taking him to the floor, and an even harder time knocking him out.

AA wins by [T]KO in the first round.

Exactly this, unfortunately, if he doesn't change his attitude and get some confidence back.

I like that i found out that i am indeed not crazy, but i am suprised at the AA TDD posts. Wasn't he easily taken down by Mir, Reem and SCHAUB?

Arlovski already beat Werdum. it was years ago, but I could see the same thing happening again.

I dont think AA is as good as he was then, and i DO think Werdum is better than he was then.
