Always Be Ready: An Urban Guide To Legal Weapons Use Episode 1

I came in with nothing but respect and had nothing but weak arguments against my points.

I'm not going to bite my tongue just because you think I should
You should bite your tongue because what you're "teaching" looks less useful than Aikido which is on par with Tai Chi as a martial art.

You're being an ass and I'm letting you know it doesn't play well in this subforum.

Well these are opinions from you guys so I'll keep going trying to help people learn valuable skills for the real world. If you can't contribute anything worthwhile then don't just be trolls and try to act as if you are any kind of authority on real weapon use.

YOU were the one that started the thread

YOU were the one that had like 4 posts in a row

YOU were the one that threw a textual fit about no one responding

YOU were the one that couldn't take advice from P&S

YOU were the one that couldn't take a light hearted joke about the videos being filmed in something that looks like a sex dungeon

YOU were the one that started the insults (point and click no talent guns, calling P&S a neckbeard)

YOU are the one ducking Billy's calling you out

YOU are the one talking about martial arts (the ninja shit that google goes "Kami is god and Yami is mountain in Japanese" when I search it) that no one has heard about

YOU started all the backlash by freaking the fuck out when no one responded to your thread.

1st of all, this forum SOMETIMES moves quick, sometimes goes DAYS without a new post. The majority of posters here, is a small group (like 10-ish regulars). So cut the shit.

Oh yeah? The shit you're talking about sounds like something even the Kung Fu guys getting wrecked by MMA dudes in China would laugh at.

Don't cry

As for your other points I'd systematically break them down to show you how weak your arguments are but I'm not going to stoop to your low.

I do object to the majority of what you said and I'm not really sure why you posted it to be honest.

Also, Kami Yama literally translated is "God mountain" in Japanese..... yeah, totally sounds like a legit method of "fighting"

I'd knife a man with a cane imo

Not crying, pointing out where you brought this on yourself like when you have to explain to a three year old why they got zapped after sticking a penny in the electrical outlet.

@Sinister ?

'I'm not crying but I'm going to tag another user to fight my battles for me,

Did you seriously just do that? You told a teacher on me?

And I know nothing about conflict...

it's fucking awesome.
it really was an amazing scene. I was subverted in ways modern film tries to, but usually fails terribly. The guy with the sword looked like a serious badass, a real threat. His grin, the way the crowd parts, him tossing the sword hand to hand. To just dismissively shoot him, and turn away before the body even falls. A+ scene.

The only example I can think of really in modern films is the dismissive way John Wick kills Reek towards the end of the first John Wick movie:

"It was just a fucking d-"
*bang
**walks away

The entire equilibrium ending was pretty good with it too, won't spoil it if you haven't seen it yet but basically at the end when he's about to meet father 'business picks up' as good ol Jim Ross would say

The thing about equilibrium and john wick, those scenes had plenty leading up to it. We knew that mobster guy was terrified of john wick, nearly getting got in the club. The scene he dies in has his whole entourage getting picked off systematically.
Contrast that with the Indiana Jones scene, the audience is still in the middle of learning that this terrifying sword guy means business. We are anticipating a struggle for Indiana. Even the groan he makes as he reaches for his pistol doesn't seem like he's saying "dang gotta pull out my pistol and blast this guy real quick", it looks like "man this guy means business". The audience still is processing the swordsman. Again, he looks legitimately terrifying. Like he's gutted people before and enjoys it.

And then Indiana just point shoots. Doesn't even look down his sights. Like he's saying "I just gotta take out the trash real quick and then I can get back to playing COD"

Imagine the Star Wars movies Disney puts out trying something like this. It would be terrible. I barely even remember which movie this was in, but damn if I will never forget this scene.

Can admin close this thread if discussion doesn't get back to subject soon please?

Plenty of other places to discuss films
