We’ve heard on the proverbial grapevine that Spike O’Sullivan (27-2; age 34) will get the call, and the fighter co-promoted by Ken Casey with Golden Boy would be meeting Golovkin on pay-per-view. Others have raised their hands and volunteered for duty. Demetrius Andrade, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, Zurdo Ramirez, and Sergiy Derevyanchenko have also said they’d sub in for Canelo.

Called the O'sullivan PPV weeks ago.

*sigh* GGG by tko under 6 rounds.

anyone except chavez jr

Can't really expect too much for an opponent on a month's notice. I would have preferred to see someone with some ability like Andrade, but O'Sullivan will make a suitable showcase. One would hope that this isn't going to be PPV, but HBO might not want to put up enough money for it to be non-PPV.

BJS or bust
