He is still very young, skilled and dangerous Muay-Thai expert, but as said by Cruz about TJ Dillashaw: he looks good against stationary targets. This reminds me of Tumenov vs. Nelson fight recently: A fearless dangerous striker with a hot streak against somebody with more advanced movement and takedowns on top of that. Tumenov was very hesistant and ended up getting dominated. I see the same scenario happening whenever Almeida fights Dillashaw or Cruz for the belt in the future. He can't get past those two in my opinion. His chin is also questionable and many questions will be answered in his bout against hard hitting Garbrandt.

Why didn't you just post that on the other Almeida thread, the one that triggered you?

Almeida is 24 (soon to be 25) and has competed only for 5 years. He's not a finished product and it's scary to think that he will be even better. His wrestling certainly improved from the time Tim Gorman was able to hold him down for like 3 straight minutes.

Aljamain Sterling will dominate that division.

Cruz will keep the belt until he's done with the sport.
Almeida will beat Grabrandt,
and can probably beat Dillashaw.
the real fight is with Sterling.

It depends on how long TJ and Cruz stay around.

With all the injuries Cruz has had, who knows how long he'll be number 1, he could blow his knee out in any fight at this point, and apparently his foot is falling apart too.

If Almeida hits him with enough kicks (the way TJ started too in the final rounds of their fight) he could beat Cruz, and win the title.

Almedia is a big prospect and very talented, but he is still raw. he was getting tagged a lot by Pickett and dropped. he needs to work on his defense. his offense is very good

I think dodson is the guy to watch out in the 135 division, dominic cruz's inability to knock out people will be his undoing against dodson who is explosive and has knockout power

Aljamain Sterling will dominate that division.

He's definitely gonna stick around the division but he's stationary, lacks KO power, and his striking is putrid.

He's looked decent against less than stellar competition.

Then again Cody, Almeida, and Sterling are far from finished products so you never know. Very interesting prospects.
