He’s just going to be another name on DJ’s resume.

God, I would be hyphy for this fight. DJ wins this I would support him for GOAT contention.

Or Mighty mouses fans could get a dose of reality when TJ whoops MM.

If MM ever actually takes the fight.

You can start posting these threads when MM actually accepts the fight against TJ.

That's why he wouldn't risk his title defense record, right TS?

Well, this is the chance for MM fans to get some vindication. But will he actually fight TJ?

If you wanna be in the GOAT category, your best win can't be Benevidez, and Dodson. If he beats TJ, he has every right to be in the legit GOAT catgeory.

Benevidez and Dodson are VERY legit wins. By your logic TJ can never be the GOAT because Dodson KTFO him.

I hope you are right TS .
I like both fighters but because of all the hate and i'm more of a DJ fan I want to see him pick TJ apart .
But I hate threads like this as 90 % of the time they come back to bite you in the arse .

I hope the fight doesn't happen, actually...but if it does, I definitely want it to be for the 135 belt, and for MM to put TJ "Not-A-Draaaaw" Dillashaaawwww to sleep.

This fight happening at FLW would be ridiculous.

No matter who wins a division gets fucked

TJ isn't hanging around FLW if he wins and DJ has no interest in moving to BW.

Make the fight at BW.

They are both amazing fighters and would probably represent the highest level combined of skill to ever compete against each other in an MMA fight.

I think TJ is criminally underrated P4P (If one judge gave TJ one point for one of the close rounds against Cruz, would be on an 8 fight win streak with 7 title defenses) and TJ taking out the #1 P4P fighter would give him the credit he deserves.

On the other side, MM is an insanely talented fighter and he is lacking that epic win, beating TJ, the reigning BW champ would give him that, so either way this would be a historic fight.

All that said I find it very telling that MM hasn't accepted the fight yet and hardcore dodged this matchup when he was trying to break the record. He had literally just come out and said he wants a big fight/ superfight and then when he was offered the biggest fight of his career he went hard on the excuses, even going with the completely nonsensical "TJ might miss weight so I wanna fight Ray Borg" (who had missed weight in 2 of his last 4 fights, whereas TJ has never once missed weight in his career, including MMA and College wrestling)

At the time he wasn’t the 135 lb champ yet.
Lost his belt by controversial split decision, beat two #1 contenders in a row after. Was slotted to receive 135 shot, champ was injured, UFC pushed for him to get the shot at 125, but DJ adamantly refused and made demands he knew the UFC would not agree to in order to fight Ray Borg. I guess Ray Borg "deserved" that shot? Pfft. DJ still hasn't agreed to the fight. I'm not saying TJ will definitely win, but if DJ ducks him that's a very bad look. No way can be considered #1 P4P and "the GOAT." Edit: and before you try to spin that, he's ducking a fight in his own 125 division, not being asked to move up.
