All the respect, and credit to The Joker tonight.

The man went through 3 Opponent switch ups, all with different styles, got dropped and nearly finished in the First round, and not ONLY did he manage to survive, but he came back and fought his ASS off for the rest of the Fight.

Jack might not have got the W tonight, and it's unfortunate, but the dude has earned my Respect, and people need to put some RESPEK on his name. He played a dangerous game, and it didn't work out in his favor, but he fought with fucking HEART, and nobody can take that away from him.

Joker Bless, and even though he lost when people mention his name going forward they need to put some RESPEK on it. There was VERY little upside for him to take the Fight under the conditions he did. He went from fighting a Top 10 opponent, to an Unranked opponent, to a Top 15 ALL within a few weeks.

Agreed OP.

Fought his heart out tonight.

Reasons like THIS are why I made this Thread, Marvin fans have every right to be happy, but people need to understand and appreciate Jack for taking a HUGE risk in fighting someone with more to gain while being injured.

I think people get to wrapped up in wins and losses, that they forget these are people with Goals and ambitions like everyone else. Jack's a good guy, and handled the switch up like a FUCKING Boss, and decided to roll the dice when he didn't have too.

If you can't respect Jack after that AND after how he fought tonight?

There's nothing I can say.

I don't see anyone disrespecting him. He's fairly popular.

And frankly he will likely get a fight of the night bonus. He hasnt' been overly active this year, I expect the bonus will be much appreciated.

I was torn in this fight. Like many have been said it's easy to root for Jack and I have not particularly been a fan if Vettori. But in this fight I couldn't help but hope for hiss success.

I was questioning myself at first as to why I was staying up late just to watch 1 fight when i haven't had good sleep in days. But I'm sure glad I did. Both guys definitely impressed me. The fight delivered 200%. I do wonder about Jack's injury. It could be a reason he stopped throwing the right head kick but who knows?

He gets respect for being tough but his opponent took the fight on what, one weeks notice?

did you know this is Vettori's first 5 round fight his entire career and he did with almost no camp....

Are you retarded? Or just a noob? Vettori had a full camp and was going to fight next week... respect for taking the fight and going hard for 5 rounds but he still had a full camp (just cut short by 1 week).

You seem to be taking the opposite stance in an effort to reply to everything I say, and I can't wrap my head around why. Are you good Bud? Can I make my thread haha, you act like Sherdoggers don't turn out "Said fighter is washed/overrated" after a loss.

I'm glad to hear that people aren't shitting on him, but I'm still going to express my appreciation for the conditions in which he took the Fight, again taking nothing away from Vettori, I'm just giving Jack props. This is coming from a guy that was happy Jarod uppercutted his Chin off.

Marvin was already booked and just moved up a week.

How exactly is Vettori a Dickhead, he even hugged Hermanson after the fight and thanked him.
I can smell the insecurity to here, people just hate seeing jacked boys doing well.

Hope yall enjoy the Crow.

There's a video of a guy confronting him after he couldn't make weight and had to pull out of his fight against Marvin; and Marvin goes all ape shit on him in the lobby or something. His frustration was understandable; his reaction was a bit over the top, though.

I know that video doesn't make him a douchebag, Roberson was pulling out cause he couldn't make weight and says they can go right now.
Hotheaded yes, douchebag? Not really, if you grew up in a rough area or had to defend yourself before that stuff was pretty standard.

He did well - jus not enough....can't count him out and will tune in to watch both.

It was a damn good fight and i think the Joker still has the potential to become champ.

you know they don't get paid if they don't fight right?

Hermansson only had a single fight in the 12 months prior to this fight.

He wnet into this fight thinking he would beat a guy that had almost no training camp and pick up a payday he probably needed.
Exactly. It was Her-Manson's plan all along for his other scheduled bouts to get cancelled only to fight Vettori on a one week notice. He is a mastermind, but this time it didn't pay off.

<{cruzshake}>
He was supposed to fight next week.

True that. Much was lost in those two first rounds when feeling Vettori out.
It resulted in multiple failed TD's and getting knocked down on his ass. Later when he started to throw combo's he looked much better.

I had Jack winning the 3rd and 5th rounds, as the aggressor and landing more damage there. I am surprised that he couldn't take more advantage of Vettori's non-existent guard.
He's always low with the hands and kinda switches to a full crouch stance. I think it took Jack some time to realize, but then Vettori still won the 4th round for sure.

MW really is the division where that shit happens too.

Hendo losing to Bisping
Whittaker losing to Adesanya
And even when a dickhead loses, it's to another dickhead like Rockhold losing to Bisping or Costa to Izzy.

I dont know if Vettori is a dickhead, he is more of a hothead, which is very different.
But what i do know now for sure is that he is an excellent fighter and thats the most important.

Bro, I'm from Detroit; I get it.
That said, the screaming once they were separated was a bit over the top, though.

It is what it is, like the saying goes.. nice guys always finish last? Lol.
Ofc nice guys finish last, you got to make the missus finish first mate.
Was a nice performance from jack and i was impressed with how he recovered in the 1st.
But ofc now that he lost i will just have to go back to pretending he is swedish

Do we know if he broke his foot on that foot-check?

You could tell it happened in that third round where everyone talked about him taking the momentum. Zero kicks with the right leg after that (and I thought he was standing on it like someone who had an injury and was trying to pretend otherwise), when it was probably his most effective weapon and threat.

Yeah it was I do understand the frustration tho, given how he trained for basically nothing.
I also remember that he didn't have a fight in a while so that probably added to the frustration.
