The skateboard thing was a bit stupid for me too. Reminded me of that awful bodybag spot in Allin's match with Cody. That kind of thing just seems too comical and out of place.

The thing with Baker posting that black eye from Priestley delves into that weird spot of blurred kayfabe and reality, even if it's a work. Bea already has a reputation for being unsafe and that's not a good thing to have in that business, but it also adds to the drama and makes the rivalry seem more real.

It reminds me a bit of Kenny Omega knocking out Evil in the G1 a few years back. I'm convinced that was a real knock out, which makes Omega's V-Trigger look even better, but it also makes him and NJPW look unsafe since NJPW allowed Evil to continue wrestling in the G1. Omega flat-out denied that he had KO'd Evil even though, in kayfabe, it probably would have been better to run with it.

Not really sure what I'm getting at, but it's interesting how reality and kayfabe can seem to switch places and contradict each other sometimes.

People don't know what NXT is which is why it's losing. People were interested in seeing what AEW was all about but it didn't light enough fires under enough asses. Not surprised at the ratings drop.

NXT is going to win this in the long run. I feel like both shows were better than AEW. AEW is just new and shiny. The matches and segments were much better on NXT and AEW is full of shit to advance far too much too soon. They've gone through 8-10 weeks of content in 2. They're going to burn out fast and put too much on new viewers plates.

It's also important to remember that most hardcore viewers are going to watch AEW live because they have the WWE Network and can just watch NXT on Thursday. With this current setup there really isn't a reason to choose one over the other.

Bastard PAC is very underrated at the moment. I would like to see this guy get a giant push in the AEW. He's got the high flying moves and a nice heel shtick. He was criminally misused in the WWE.
