Like you wouldn't believe. Far be it from me to say "That's offensive, they should take it down", but holy shit, they did a video where it sounded like they were looking forward to a man dying, because they might enjoy the wrestling a little more.

Millier is the only saving grace of that whole operation, and even then, he's a freelancer who I think has only stayed on because they helped him with his wrestling training. His personal youtube channel is a fun listen.

But, it's obvious they're trying to find a "Blampied", but everyone other than Miller is awful. The reason why Cultaholic, Triple Jump, Kenny McIntosh, Joe Hendry, and others is the decree from management is "Everything is shit! Everything is offensive! Be as negative, and snarky as possible, just be complete dicks". So, after losing a bunch of people, they thought "Well... We're gonna be even more negative, even more snarky, even bigger dicks than before... apart from towards AEW, we could get access there."

I basically watch Cultaholic just for the Captivating Career Of.... retrospects. Wrestling With Wregret is the only wrestling Youtube channel I watch unless you count the Youtube video versions of podcast segments like J.R's podcast or Bell To Bell With Bobby Blaze.

As for WhatCulture, the only videos I've watched from them lately are their comic book videos

Cultaholic's really coming into their own, I always enjoy the "Straight To Hell" episodes. Just wish Jen would come back for more stuff.

Cornettes schtick is getting old at this point. We get it, he doesnt like current wrestling yet he constantly talks about it so he can get clicks.
He can blame anyone/everyone but at one point who is the consistent in all the promotions that have failed or gone nowhere when he was involved?
NWA/WCW, Smokey Mountain, TNA, ROH

Cornette is hilarious though. AEW gives him great content which I'm all for. Overall he said he liked the first show. Much more than I did honestly.

AEW's events so far have been hit and miss to me and while I've enjoyed parts, I've often come away wondering if the TV show will really be something I'll follow (though to be fair, I don't follow anything on a weekly/series basis these days).

I've watched Dynamite twice now and I think it was a little better than I was expecting, though not without fault. A few scattered thoughts:

- Match-wise, they can do better. Not in any way offensive for TV matches, though.
- Those two hours flew by. I was worried about the number of matches for the length of the show but I think they filled it pretty well for the most part.
- I watched the TNT airing from a stream and was pretty disgusted by the number and placement of ad breaks. I don't know how normal that is for a US show but I would have switched off were it not the debut episode. The ads were just too much. On top of that, even after watching the no advert ITV version back, you can really tell when they're stalling for time mid-match to allow for ad breaks. I don't know what they can do about that but I think it really sucks from a viewer's perspective.
- I'm not much into the talking stuff but I think they could have used a little more to break things up a bit. Maybe make post-match interviews a regular thing if they're going for the sports-like feel.
- I see a lot of fans who don't really want AEW to be anything new, they just want to it to be a WWE they can like again.
- On that note, I'd personally be pretty happy with AEW being something like the Attitude era but with the modern standard of quality in-ring wrestling. That would be new and novel enough for me. Just please don't listen to the younger people who hark back to the early/current PG or RA eras. I hope AEW can be an alternative to not just what WWE is now but also what WWE has been for nearly 20 years. I know I'm being a bit of a hypocrite with me wanting them to recapture some of the magic of the late 90s American scene while wanting them to avoid influence from other eras.
- The women's title match wasn't the car crash I was expecting. Actually, I think it wasn't bad and I'm starting to see Riho as decent underdog champ material. The division is still relatively weak looking, though.
- I'm kind of dreading the upcoming tag tournament because I haven't been into the regular tag matches much at all so far, and I'm not really a tag match fan generally anyway.

I'm on board for the time being. Part of me would like to be able to enjoy something on a weekly basis again.

That's sort of how I feel. I appreciate the effort that they're trying to do "Wrestling", as opposed to a badly written variety show like Raw and SmackDown are.

But, going against NXT right now, it just doesn't compare. However, I'm also chalking that up to NXT, in its current form, has been going since around 2012, so they're worked out the kinks and ironed it out.

I was pleasantly surprised by JR and Schiavone working together, especially "There's a VIP area?! Why did nobody tell me?!"... "There WAS an VIP area".

I'm an attitude era fan who's been following AEW and seen the odd episode of RAW and Smackdown over the last few years.

Never seen an episode of NXT, what's so great about it?

Jim does a review where he likes the AEW show...online fans rant about Jim's schtick getting old...

I’m quite glad Riho won that even though she’s not a better wrestler. It’s just not right to promote mentally ill man who thinks he’s a woman, as a WOMEN’S champion

Here's the dark matches from the first episode.

Sticking this for tonight

I'm going to unstick and have the guys make a new one. Let them start a new poll for a new episode, and have a fresh thing every week.

@Rexual Chocolate

You're up kid...show em what you got...that's an expression so we're clear...don't actually expose yourself to anyone.

Good call. This would have 1000s of posts if we left this as the only one.

Yeah, I figured there's no sense worrying about shit like the post caps when they can just redo one every Wednesday. It's not like we have some many threads going that we need to limit new ones...plus it's an excuse for new mascot posts...everyone wins!

Motherfucker

I say these threads should be stickied at the bottom of the page because fuck the young bucks.
