I'm surprised Aljo thinks he is entitled to a title shot and thinks he is being passed over.

The guy has been underwhelming at FW. LNP win over kattar, nice performance but loss against mosavar, and a decision against a dehydrated and nearly dead ortega.

He's actually had a real strange career if you think about his bw run:
Wins the belt via DA.
Defends via split decision by backpacking yan to steal rounds
Defends against a fighter with one arm
Defends and wins a split decision against Cejudo who hadn't fought in 3 years. It can be argued cejudo would have won this fight if he didn't fight lazy and gave up the takedown to aljo at the end of round one which cejudo was half assing the td defense for some reason.

Strange to think a former champ with 3 defenses is no where near the HOF.

I mean it wouldn't of been the worst double champ shot, but at the same time, he still won the belt by a foul then got a good win over Yan after over a year wait. Then defended it against legends who hadn't fought in forever. I can't believe people were saying how rushed he was for Sean, after taking so long to give us a rematch. This is one of the reasons DQ wins are horrible.

He didn't have drawing power and his wins were a little shakey. I mean defending title with 2 split decisions, finishing the guy who came in clearly injured and it's sort of a joke that a title contender.

Good luck in the Paramount Era where they only want exciting fights...

Aljo will never fight for a ufc title again, even if he miraculously deserves to

Join the club, lol.

A lot of people scratching their heads right now. Not saying that Sterling deserves a title shot, just that the recent announcements are next-level "WTF??".
