"I do think, if you ask who I think is going to win, I give it 60/40 to Werdum because I fought him twice, and he’s just a very clever, slick fighter," Overeem said. "It’s easy to underestimate him because he’ s physically not that strong and athletic, but he’s sneaky. He’s [always got] an ace up his sleeve, you know? So I expect him to come out with some sort of a surprise.

"When you look at Stipe, Stipe’s pretty straightforward with what he does. He’s good at what he does. He’s aggressive, his cardio is good, he’s strong, but I think Werdum is going to out-smart him."

Yeah, Werdum does stuff in the cage that really no one else does. Who was he fighting when he kept pointing at something on the ground?

He was all like "I think those are your keys."

Arlovski?

I think the odds are the opposite but he makes a good point, it's probably going to be a close fight.

Anyone who can sucker Fedor like Werdum did -- even the Wild Brawler version of Fedor -- shouldn't be underestimated by anyone.

Werdum is the only fighter ever who has a 100% "clean" win over Fedor. No TRT, no nothing.

If Werdum gets you in a position to submit you, it's over. Miocic better be ready or he'll go down just like Fedor and High-Altitude Cain did.

Overeem would demolish Stipe. But he and Werdum have unfinished business. It's one of those times when I think they both want the fight. Werdum slaps Miocic out of his way and Reem is coming for the belt.

LOL...great quote...part of the MMA mentality is that you dont have to be smart...smart people go to college, they dont smash each others face in....I've seen dozens of fighters simply ignore a smart strategy and just go in and smash away. Sometimes they win, sometimes they lose, but they seem happier "not being smart"...as if there is some sort of pride in not being smart, cuz being smart is for pussies. My favorite fighter, Fedor is that way...no strategy, no game plan, just swing away wildly and the best man is left standing. I was 100% sure he would use distance and leg kicks to to slowly chop down Bigfoot. Use his speed, athleticism, but he seemed bored and just went wailing away...MANY fighters are like that....winning is not as important as winning "their" way....so even if they lose they can proudly say...I did it my way. I think Reem is right...Verdoom will come with a strategy and win cuz Stipe believes in his skills and might not think he has to alter anything...we'll see.

Fedor has no strategy or gameplan, he just swings wildly and the best man is left standing?
Are you sure Fedor is your favourite fighter? Have you seen a Fedor fight?

Werdum did bungle a kimura against Browne. People are very good with their scrambling nowadays.
