Movies Aliens (1986) vs The Thing (1982)

This is very tough. Aliens could very well be my all time favorite movie. The Thing I sort of newly discovered this gem and I thought it was an incredible movie.

Both of them 10/10. But Aliens I have more affinity towards, base on history and personally it's one of the films that gave me the desire to join the military.

Aliens would be my pick.

Aliens was amazing. The characters, the setting, the tension......can't say enough good things about that movie.

The music when they're getting on board the ship just in time to avoid the nuclear blast....she yells "punch it, Bishop!"......god damn that gives me chills every time.

Aliens and Jaws are tied for my favorite movie ever. The Thing is a 10/10 like them, but its a substitute if one of the other 2 cant make it to fight day.

If it was alien I'd pick that over just about anything cause it redefined a genre. It's in my top 10.

Between aliens and the thing... I'd still ever so slightly give it to aliens however the thing was also a great movie. I think the only "thing" that makes me edge toward aliens is the pace. It just felt like it moved at a better pace and was the overall better cinema experience.

I thought this was the first Aliens movie so I voted for the Thing. Didn't realize it was the second Aliens movie which I do prefer over The Thing.
