For those who haven't checked out the early versions of Alien 3 you can here. Each crazier than the last.

I enjoy the one where the Alien DNA mixes with a space station and it becomes a colossal Alien creature

And for the early Prometheus version.

I didn't know other people in the 'Berry watch Comicbookgirl19's channel. I love her movie reviews.

Between her for movies, and Angry Joe for games, I get all of my shit nerdy info covered.

First Look At The New Xenomorphs, Facehuggers & More From 'Alien: Covenant'

That facehuger looks seriously menacing. The neomorph looks like a cross between this:

My prediction:

People complained about Prometheus not being true to the Alien franchise. Didn't want an original take on the universe.

This movie will do the exact opposite, and be nothing but fan service. People will bitch that it's lazy and unoriginal, and ask why Hollywood has no new ideas.

I can't speak for anybody else, but I complained about Prometheus because it was a terribly written film. Very pretty to look at with interesting designs and some good performances, but the script was baaaaadddddddddddddd.

"Make it more vaginal. All of it. All of it more vaginal. Vagina vagina vagina."

Weird that he would pronounce it with a hard G. Vag-EEE-nal

It really wasn't that bad though. It just had some head-scratching moments, and some mysteries left unanswered as it was a planned trilogy. The core of the script was fine.

Fair enough though. However, the complaints I always hear about it, have more to do with it flat out not being an "Alien film", and little nitpicks like a couple of dumb characters, and the most overblown complaint of them all, why Charlize Theron's character ran in a straight line.

It's one of the most over-criticized films of all time, and for the life of me, I'll never understand why. It's not a perfect film by any means, but people act like it up there with the Start Wars prequels in terms of shittiness, and it's just not even close to that level of bad. Disappointing given the expectations perhaps, but flat out terrible? No, I can't agree with that. For me "Prometheus" is on the same level as a movie like "Sunshine", as far as having some really dumb moments in a otherwise great film.

That facehugger shot looks like I accidentally clicked on the worst POV video while cruising Da Hub...

Can't recall the last time Ridley Scott did fanservice.

The #1 aspect of the sequels after Aliens forgot to impliment, was mystery.

We knew what the xenomorphs were capable of, that took alot of the suspense and horror out of the threat against the protagonists.

One of the reasons I love Prometheus is because it completely wiped away the xenomorphs and added new threats that were completely unknown, and it was exactly what the franchise needed since no new elements had been added in 26 years.

Covenant, is adding the xenomorphs (or rather, a similar species) into the sequel with the themes of unpredictability made in Prometheus. So I highly doubt that Ridley Scott is doing 'fan service' but adding in alittle what we know, to the unknown.

Really looking forward to Covenant.

Interesting models. Don't really care for the neomorph design, its asymmetrical half-formed mouth looks like something out of a del Toro movie. Not very Giger-ish at all though that may be the whole point of it.

Facehugger looks great. Giger would be proud. Very ironic that the classic facehugger design has a penis-like appendage underneath and this one looks distinctly more feminine. A very interesting twist on an old favorite.

Eggs are a little disappointing imo. I would like to see them do the eggs that Giger originally intended for the original movie...instead of a cross-shaped opening, one that looks more vaginal, complete with inner and outer labia.

As always, @Dragonlordxxxxx, many thanks for keeping us apprised of all the developments on this and so many other movies...

The main complain that i have seen about Prometheus is how dumb the characters were. The term "Prometheus school of running away from falling objects" (or w/e) was coined after Charlize Theron's character. The dumb ass who choose to pet the alien snake(dumbest part of the movie imo). The guy who brought the scanning/graphing balls into the mountain, is the one who got lost. Knock off Tom Hardy taking his helmet off inside the alien MT. Old man Weyland being a cunt to the Engineer.

I was in the few who enjoyed Prometheus for what it was. It was visually stunning, and the concept of the engineer's was cool. But the black goo was the only part that I thought needed more explanation, or back story. I mean i figured out what the black goo was for, but i think most people did NOT get it.

We're gonna have to agree to disagree.

Prometheus was dogshit. Actually, I apologize; comparing Prometheus to dogshit is insulting to dogshit. Dogshit can actually be used as compost; as such it actually has value whereas Prometheus has no value whatsoever.

The Alien films are not sacred to me. I like the first two just fine and the rest have been varying degrees of bad. I don't care how Prometheus relates to the Alienverse. Prometheus is just a bad sci-fi made worse by wasted opportunity. They had a chance to relaunch a franchise and update it with our current knowledge of science and technology. Instead we got something that some screenwriter shat out after cocaine and whisky bender. We landed the Mars Rover. We landed a probe on a fucking comet. We have drones. Asimo is 16 year old tech FFS. You think that in the future we would blindly land on some alien world with people? Fuck that. There'd be fucking McDonalds dropped by drones and built by robots before any human took a step on that joint. Fucking read a Popular Mechanics and give our scientists and engineers something to shoot for, goddamn it. But no, we get a bunch a dipshit dumbasses running around and we're supposed to wonder about the motivations of the engineer... cause this is a "deep" film.

Yeah, right. This is how "deep":
