Volk had more fights and more time in the game when he lost to Topuria than when Aldo lost to Conor and was 6 years older.

Volk was knocked out by a WW and a LW, taking damage against much bigger men.

And the 35+ stat proves that age is incredibly important.

Volk was much older and had more miles on him. You are talking complete nonsense if somehow you think Volk losing as an old man redeems Aldo from losing as a much younger man. It's completely illogical.
