Alexander Gustafsson: Underrated or Overrated?

Criminally overrated. He has zero top 10 wins and Jones even beat him without training.
 
Depends on who you ask. He is a top 3 LHW. He beat jones in my eyes. Many would agree. Yea on paper it says jones won but judges are just that, judges. Who knows how much corruptness exists. When someone can barely walk, their lips are all busted up like never before and they have that look of "damn I got my ass kicked" on their face then they lost. Jones lost.

Thats what many fail to realize, his two title fights could have gone either way. He is just as good as the top 2 guys if you can basically flip a coin because the fights were so close.

Underrated.

Gus has all the tools to be champ, but I think training in Sweden is not the way to go.

If he moves to Kings MMA or something, he takes the belt.
 
He was Jones toughest fight and Jones has fought a lot of quality opponents, i don't think he is overrated
 
He's a top contender and one of the four best @ LHW

Everyone knows that his TDD is too good for Bader, that his hands and feet are too fast for Teixeira at this point.

If I had to pick one, I'd say underrated on Sherdog though.
 
These "rate" parts in overrated and underrated are absolutely meaningless without further explanation.

Who's ratings ? Sherdoggers ? UFC rankings ? UFC Hype machine ? Casuals ? Dana's ? Some other ratings ?

Asking if someone who is ranked in the top 10 of a proven division in the premium fight league for mma world wide, Has fought for the strap twice, both times in a war that the defending champions clearly had their hands very full. Ya sorry Im not sure.

We've seen worse decision victories than if Gustafsson had won both title fights. He broke the narrative that Jones is invincible
 
He's number three. Rated exactly correctly.

Jones and DC beat him. I think he takes Anthony in rematch.
 
overrated for sure, 0 top 10 wins, JBJ beat him without training, best win is a decision over shogun who JBJ had already dethroned, destroyed and demolished

Just look at his skill set and how he was able to use it against both champs, he is not overrated.

People seem to get really salty about Gus getting praise, a loss is a loss but a fight is a fight and he's proven he's an elite fighter at 205.
 
Gus has been underrated against pretty much all opponents he faced, well exept one, Rumble. In all other fights he has been proving haters wrong, over and over and over, to the tune of, he did not belong with JJ, DC is in another league, and bla, bla, bla, bla.

Only complete moronic shertards and pathetic Jones fans underrate someone who has been proving everybody wrong despite being constantly underrated.
 
I think he is rated as he should be, as one of the top guys in the division
