Alex Volkov wants a rematch with Cyril Gane, not interested in Derrick Lewis

Volkov is such a bipolar fighter. He's looked awful (even in his win vs Tybura) and then I wasn't confident in him not getting knocked out by Roz, but then he ends up blitzing him and gets a 1st round KO. Wonder if he'd have the balls to do that to Lewis this time, or if he'll fuck up.

Too bad there are 6 heavyweights that can fight so that now we are left with rematch after rematch because there is no mythical new breed new blood.

There are plenty of new/younger guys (lol, for HW) that are in or getting in the mix, like Tai, Tylerin, Daukus, and somehow, beyond any reason, even Tybur has a decent record of late (lol not that he can or should ever sniff a TS)

He blew it against Lewis way before that punch. Had him hurt bad from punches but kept backing off cause he thought it was an eye poke.

I could see him beating Lewis to be honest (of course the opposite is true), but a Gane rematch doesn't interest me at all. Way too soon and the first one wasn't that competitive. Volkov did well to steal one -- maybe two -- rounds from Ciryl, but it was pretty clear who had control of the cage and who adjusted better to win that fight. There's better ways to match up contenders and plenty of them IMO.

Volkov is just way less athletic then Ciryl and lacks power if that is even possible by a man who could jab the spine from my chest.
I just don't see it against a top athlete moving like Ciryl. Holes impossible to fix. Horrible match up. Both of them for me. None of them for Ciryl.

He's a much better fighter than Lewis. He'd probably be a 3 to 1 favorite in a rematch but OFC Lewis can catch him again. I think he'd do a better job controlling the distance. Lewis really can't get past his kicks and Volkov wouldn't be trying those intercepting knees again which were basically Lewis only effective counters the whole fight. He couldn't counter his kicks at all and was hurt to the body and nearly quit multiple times. Volkov TKO through bodyshots IMO.

Gane I don't see it going much differently.
