Apparently, Poatan had no idea what DDP was saying and when his translator told him, he met DDP in the match, asked him if he wanted to fight, DDP said yes and Poatan told him let's make it happen, at 205, and DDP said deal. Says if he beats Magomed, DDP is the fight.

Yes, I think the winner of DDP vs Khamzat should face Alex if he beats Ankalaev.

I think DDP vs Imavov also would be a fun fight, if he beats Khamzat. I wonder if he goes up to 205 if he loses the title, like Poatan did. In that scenario, DDP vs Jiri would be a banger.

I don't think there's a harder jump than 185 to 205.

DDP yes. Khamzat, nope. DDP would have three defenses, that's good enough. Khamzat has to at least defend a few times.

Two big ifs: alex over Ank and DDP over Khamzat...then absolutely make that fight.

Getting to a point though that MW should get blown up with half the dudes going to 170 and the other half going to 205.

I agree with the lot of this.

Imavov can't be overlooked, he's had a couple of losses in the UFC, but would probably get them back if he were given the opportunities, and he has wins that are looking very good today, in hindsight. I tend to believe he will remain near the top of the division for some time.

DDP/Jiri would probably turn out to be exceptional, as they both tend to throw caution to the wind, and both have uncommon styles. I imagine that we will see a day when DDP moves up to LHW for good, and he'd probably do well there.

And who knows about Khamzat, he talks like he may end up at LHW before he's done. Fights with DDP, Imavov and Alex would all be interesting.

Pereira is the biggest star in the UFC currently, of course you’re after that one. Plus he’s going up in weight to fight a deadset killer, hard to say DDP is scared of anyone.
