The fight between Pereira vs Magomed is basically JDS vs Cain 1.

JDS backed Cain up, came out aggressive and landed the same exact punch that Pereira landed on Magomed, the same overhand and the same stances.

Now a lot of Pereira fans will scoff and think it’s different but let’s look at the evidence and the facts…

Both Pereira and JDS are strikers with KO power, and both ended their fights in under 2 mins, relatively fast and both ended it with one punch.

Both fought better grapplers with a much better clinch game.

Let’s look at Pereira vs Magomed 1 and compare that with Cain vs JDS 2.

Both ended in a decision, Cain was far more dominant but both decisions came from cage clinching and keeping the opponent stuck the cage as they beat them up.

Yes, Cain was more dominant but Magomed utilitize the same strategy of clinch and cage to beat Pereira just like Cain.

We are now 1-1 similar to Cain and JDS.

We all know how JDS vs Cain 3 went…

Magomed wins the trilogy if it happens. Bet. The. House.

I agree, it's not a guarantee that Ank will win, but he definitely has a good chance.

Ank seemed too timid (he claims he was injured, but whatever) – the truth is Alex came out with an energy that caught everyone off guard, including Ank. He was too slow to react and couldn't get up or move fast enough before the ref stopped the fight.

That's just how it goes sometimes in the UFC.

The set up and reason behind the strikes was totally different, their only similarity is being an overhand.
Poatan forced a stance switch out of a southpaw immediately after backing him up against the cage. JDS swung an overhand which hit natural orthodox Cain in the noggin in the center of the octagon.

I do think a 3rd fight would be competitive due to both losing somewhat of the “element of surprise”, but it’ll never happen and that’s fine.

Alex is executing Jones next on the White House lawn and ending his career by beating the heavyweight champion after that. It has been written.

Do you still have a house to bet?

Also fully healed rib Ankalaev vs 100% Poatan would be a great match

I bet Pereira and I did it because I thought a repeat of JDS va Cain 1 would happen, call me mystic Mac.

Now, the trilogy will be a repeat of Cain vs JDS three, if it happens, mark my words, Pereira dies in the 5th round.

Huh, Magomed fights out of both stances ortho and southpaw. There is no evidence it was the leg kicks that caused Magomed to switch stance ( you listening to too much Luke Thomas BS ).

The thing is, both got caught in exchanges by an overhead that intercepted a punch and both happened around the 1 min mark. The similarities are huge. Magomed is also basically a weaker version of Cain, while Pereira is a stronger version of JDS but even then, the gap in the trilogy will be too much for Pereira.
