Rumored Alex Pereira and the UFC in a contract dispute?

UFC isn't giving % points based on sales when they don't even know who's going to be broadcasting it next year.

Then it sounds like the UFC won't be signing championship level fighters. These fighters aren't going agree to go backwards and sign contracts for substantially less money just because the UFC is a shitshow run by an incompetent pink goof.

It's not the fighters' problem that the UFC doesn't have their shit together.

Or they need to see how many billions per year they stand to make first before signing new contracts for their biggest stars. Alex could stand to make an enormous base salary.

We often hate on social media but sometimes it has it's perks. Especially when the UFC is trying to screw you over, then you can use your massive following to turn the tables and make them look bad. Funny how things can suddenly work out.

The tactic rumored in some UFC camps is that they offered Pereira a fight against Dominic Reyes for the number one contender spot. Meaning no title shot rematch with Ank. And certainly no PPV points or extra bonuses for being in a title fight.

Pereira has also now skipped his media appearances UFC set up for him. And apparently didn't show up for a UFC fan meet and greet in Canada. And he sent out some messages on social media essentially stating that he was closer to retirement than re-signing with the UFC.
Wait Poatan isn't under contract? If he wants money Ngannou is the fight.

Not surprising. UFC probably not wanting to offer PPV points since he lost the belt. Ank vs Jiri for Australia confirmed.

Either the has come to hate ppv buys or someone in the company(Ari, Dana, Hunter) is committing subterfuge to kill the UFC from within. Awful year only getting worse.
Confirmed: This is a plan for Endeavor to collapse and sell the UFC back to the Fertitta's.

He could, but it sounds like they aren't offering that right now.

Until they figure out their PPV distribution contract, I think big name fighters will be signing 1-fight deals under the current paradigm.

Alex is not your friend and he won't cut you a check.

Yeah, who's ever heard of a UFC star publically complaining about their contract. I'm sure it was a hack alright.
That just your own conjecture. Theres no evidence his contract is whats in dispute. Literally none.

The man carried the UFC on his back for the last few years, i hope they just left a zero off the contract and resolve this

The UFC's contracts are very flexible in way that benefits the UFC. It's why they can move cards and shuffle fights around in the day before the fight and renegotiate a contract at any time. Poatan's contract is the same as anyone else. The difference is that he was getting these huge bonuses for saving cards that drove his payouts up considerably. And champion pay.

Now he has no title and his next fight won't be short notice. Leading to him complaining on social media that his paychecks are smaller. Then hilariously walking it back and claiming hackers took his account over. They hacked his account to post contract disputes instead of promoting crypto or whatever.

0 chance UFC is offering anyone a new contract for a single fight.

Exactly. Sadly, the UFC probably calculate the Pereira's run is over. He likely won't beat Ankalaev in the rematch, not because he's not good enough, but because father time has likely caught up with him.

There would be no reason for them to give him a lucrative long-term contract. I'm a huge Alex Pereira fan, but cold-hard calculations will be against Alex getting a long-term deal.

His best bet is to ask for a 1-fight contract to fight Ankalaev with PPV points and hope he wins. Then maybe he can negotiate a new contract if he's the champ again.

I'm guessing he wants PPV points still despite not being champ

You'd think they'd work with the guy given all he's done for them.

I mean he only saved like 3 main events on short notice and made them hundreds of millions in revenue - shouldn’t he be happy with the standard challenger pay of $500K flat?

<{ohyeah}>
