Rumored Alex Pereira and the UFC in a contract dispute?

Yep, guarantee they're trying to use some contract loophole to drastically reduce his show pay and not give him PPV points. Brilliant move when he's one of the few big draws you have left and just like boxing pretty much all of the big draws are in the twilight of their career because you've been too lazy to actually promote and build up the next generation of fighters and focused too much effort on guys who don't fight (Khamzat) or can't fight (Nickal).

Is this why they’ve got Honda training again?!

Rousey vs. Tate 3 confirmed.

Probably has less than three fights in him, give the bro whatever he wants. Guy saved couple of your cards last year. He's not going to be fighting much longer, you can pay the man until he retires.

as a popular fighter, you either have the complete backing of the UFC or you simply do not. you can be the biggest fan favorite, and not have the full support of the UFC. it is crazy that the UFC would be willing to jeopardize this given that there are maybe 2 people on the entire roster that is a must watch. poatan being one of them.

you either get KO'd badly / retire a HERO or live long enough to see Anthony Smith's retirement montage from an organization that does not care about you or the fans.

fuck the UFC

How many PPVs will Ankaboraev sell?

Don't really need PPV stars for every card, they can just stack the card up & it'll be good enough.

They went to Abu Dhabi one year with Blachowicz vs Teixeira and that was a pretty good card, the main event isn't always everything.

The guy has pulled the UFC’s ass out of the fire a few times. We’re not just talking about a fighter that will tale on anybody on short notice like Andrade, or Angie Hill. Zero disrespect intended. I like both those ladies a lot.

He has saved more than one PPV on short notice. While Jones gets them cancelled, or moved.

I honestly can’t imagine him asking for ridiculous sums of money either (like Jones). He should be properly compensated for going above and beyond.

Sometimes they try to strong arm people. And they just say take it, or leave it. This is not a good look for the UFC.

Only complete clowns hate Alex. He is clearly the face of the company right now. And fans will be pissed if Alex won’t fight.

The UFC just never seems to realize how precarious their relationship with their “real” fanbase is. Shit ppv after shit ppv. And people are probably tuning out in large numbers.

I never bitch about ppv. I watch them for free, so I figure I can’t complain too much. But I’m getting tired of the shit matchmaking, and certain fighters getting the UFC privilege.

But do these assholes even have one single active fighter on the roster that can actually draw in casual ppv viewers/buyers?

Yeah, just one.. His name is Alex Pereira.

This is a message the UFC is sending. We rather our stars be an Anthony Smith than an Alex Pereira.

No Jellyroll video send off package or crying Joe Rogan for Alex's last fight, now.

UFC has one star left, a guy who's stepped up short notice multiple times to save their sorry cards, and Dana starts offering him shit fights or again pressures him on the timing

Alex probably asking for PPV points, since he's the bigger draw, despite not being champ anymore and UFC saying no. Instead of letting the guy have a scrape of sales in a very low PPV sales time for how many millions Alex has saved the UFC.

It's so weird that these contracts can't be hammered out in private.

Give poatan a 3 year contract with 6 milly a year and 5 fights. Then pay him 300k/show 300k win on the 1st fight in 12 months 450/450 on the second and 600/600 for the 3rd in a calendar year. No ppv points, no bs.

Keep the 6 milly a year private as an employee.

The tactic rumored in some UFC camps is that they offered Pereira a fight against Dominic Reyes for the number one contender spot. Meaning no title shot rematch with Ank. And certainly no PPV points or extra bonuses for being in a title fight.

Pereira has also now skipped his media appearances UFC set up for him. And apparently didn't show up for a UFC fan meet and greet in Canada. And he sent out some messages on social media essentially stating that he was closer to retirement than re-signing with the UFC.
