Sheesh she's 30 years old. If 20 is over your threshold for what is acceptable at that age you'd have a tough time finding one to fit the bill.

You appear to have a distorted view of sexual partners because you believe locker room talk.

If you allow this space to distort your view you'd think GenX had 30-40 partners per person. In truth, it's closer to 10. For the Baby Boomers it was 5.

I find it really sad that we've come to accept that 20+ partners is normal for a 30-year-old. We are missing the point.

I don't disagree with you. The rise of birth control, divorce, and the normal age of marriage have all had large impacts on that. I didn't say it's a good thing, just that it's a thing.

I don't think it's all locker room talk. I married young (21 years old), so I locked my number in early on. I made it past 10 in that time, though, essentially due to going to college. I don't think I'm an outlier.

Tinder didn't exist until after I was married, but I have to assume that the average number of partners is going up significantly because of it.

Edit: I only meant to imply that it would be normal for a single 30 year old, btw. Obviously the situation should be dramatically different for a single 30 yearold vs someone who married at 21 like me.
