Well, I am Russian myself and my father served in a police for 20 years, so yeah. If you live here and you're not an upper-class, you will 100% know a thing or two.

I'm not interested in this part of life at all, but still. Prison culture and "ponyatia" (some kind of code of honor, rules by which lives every "self-respecting" criminal) are pretty strong among young russian guys from poor families.

Criminals were glorified and in full power during 90's, they basically ruled the country, and sadly we can still feel the echo of these days here.

btw: They interviewed Alex's neighbor on a Russian tv show and he claimed that he was actually at Alex's house when this alleged incident occurred. Lots of shady info in this case overall. Don't judge a book by its cover!

There are lots of different types of actions categorized as rape or sexual assault.

Hollywood and feminists make us think that all sexual assaults are a guy violently pinning down a girl and, well, you know.

As a criminal defense lawyer, that type of situation is literally close to 0% of actual sexual assault cases. That's far from saying sexual assault is justified, but the facts tend to be more complicated and the crime not as heinous as people think.

Personally my feeling is Aleks early on in his career was up there with his brother as the guy with the best tools ever to advance at HW. Didn't have the same degree of grappling or head movement but he was dam fast for a guy his size, I don't think theres ever been someone that size with the handspeed he had.
