yea, part of frankies defense seemed to be constantly busy, not letting aldo set, and he didnt get ttagged w a ton of counters like i'd expect - he did decently well, he even landed some lunging forward punches and some leg kicks - he constantly kept moving and mixing it up, but aldo just ended up planting and landing really hard multiple times, esp off of movement / pivot

Frankie was slipping punches really well, too. I'm gutted that Frankie abandoned the low kicks because they were his best answer for Aldo's pivot-- Aldo moved straight into a kick when he'd pivot in the first two rounds. I know Frankie isn't the most dangerous kicker, but surely they would have accumulated and either slowed Aldo down, or forced Aldo to alter his plan. I think Frankie got restless and wreckless in there and started chasing Aldo too much.

Aldo is just really good.

Frankie landed some quality shots. Not that you'd hear them called from Joe the biased.

After rewatching, I say Aldo won, but the commentary painted a different picture than what was going on.

The commentary was really biased for Aldo which I found strange. Frankie was winning round 1 clearly until Aldo had a surge towards the end but even with that it was a tight round...I still gave it to Aldo because he was more effective. Frankie was on him the whole fight, Aldo won the next round in similar fashion and then Frankie won the next two and then Aldo won the last. It was a typical 3-2 fight for me. Rounds were kind of tight at times, although not as tight as the first fight but it was clear Aldo was the winner. Frankie was doing what Frankie does but Aldo put his foot down and landed the crucial round winning strikes and was on his bike for the rest of the round over and over.

What surprised me most was the way Aldo just manhandled Frankie when Frankie went for the TD. Very impressive. I still think they're the two best in the division right now. Conor isn't at 145lb atm. I think Conor beats Aldo (Aldo has to get close to Conor to land and Conor has crazy power at 145), Frankie beats Conor and Aldo beats Frankie. I also think Max Holloway loses to all 3, he is a very solid fighter but he isn't special like those three. I think Mendes would also beat Holloway but who knows how he'll look when he returns.

aldo threw an off balance punch once and a leaping knee strike. Really had me in awe of his reflexes.
