Media Aldo Retracts Angry Comments About Conor

I'm glad they are friends now and getting along well.
Conor looks so different without a beard

He should grow it back in this style...

Aldo was off that Irish whisky again
He says he’s cool but you know deep down it burns still

Lol "prime" Nate was overrated. Before to strangle Conor he was 18-10 and had already been dominated in every way possible in the cage.
He was distracted by woman sounds in the Thomson fight. Otherwise he totally would've won.

I suppose there is no other way Aldo can ever really react to Conor given that he disrespected him in every way imaginable and then dropped him in less than 20 seconds.

For me the overall inability of Aldo to live up to the challenge of Conor is what puts him very far away in GOAT discussions. Not saying a chip on his shoulder his whole life is the way to go but being this thoroughly sonned by one of your biggest every opponents is hard to square with GOAT conversations.

Seems kind of silly since pretty much everyone loses eventually.

Too bad due to the language barrier that Aldo doesn't understand that every nice thing Conor has ever said about him is because he hold's a W over him.

It's like how he kissed Cerrone after the fight, or acted nice to Dustin at one point but by the end of their trilogy when he was down 2-1 he was screaming death threats at Dustin and wife.

Even Artem got out while the going was good.

Conor had no friends.
Isn't Khabib his friend ?

And in the age of instant title rematches and instant trilogies blah blah blah, theres a reason the ufc didnt want conor to fight aldo again.
I forgot it's only Conor who gets instant rematches when he loses like a can he is. Good thing Dustin finished him twice, nobody needs to see Conor drop 3 in a row to Dustin.

Nate Diaz beat the shit out of Conor.

We judge fighters by their overall body of work, not by a single fight, for obvious reasons. Maybe not so obvious to all.

Did you just recently start watching MMA?

Lame attempt at insult - do better.

Having your lights put out in under 20 seconds in the biggest fight of your life is a pretty big career moment and of course it comes into the consideration of your legacy.

People get in their feelings about this one because it is Aldo (who old school fans have a lot of affection for) and Conor (who lots of people - myself included - think is a scumbag of a human being) but none of that really matters in the final analysis. Conor clowned Aldo all across the globe, called his shot and then knocked him out in the first exchange.

"I thank Conor for knocking the fuck out of me in 13 seconds. He's my friend."

For those of you who don't know, a few weeks back, Aldo raged hard and went on a profane laced titrate at McGregor, after McGregor talked about running it back with Aldo and how much he respected Aldo.

I am not sure that anybody really recovers from the humiliation Conor put him through without a rematch

Aldo is one classy fuck. Good on him for squashing it, even though I loved him going off about Conor.

He also lost that fight. I believe there was some dana white influence on that fight.

Their cash cow just got dominated by a mediocre LW. Irreparable damage would have been done if Nate were to win again.

However after time has passed, we have all realized that Nate is nt that great anyway, and a controversial decision over nate was conors last win lol.

Dustin porier ended any manufactured hype that conor had.

No he didn't, he clearly won the first 2 rounds, dropping Diaz numerous times. He won the fourth also, it's actually not that hard to score.
Rogan got carried away like some bar drunk declaring it 1-1 as Diaz put pressure on McGregor at the end of round 2. Disregarding the previous 4 minutes and the fact McGregor was lighting him up.
I bet on Diaz too.

After about two weeks, Aldo finally apologized and admits he lost his self control.

Jose Aldo apologized to Conor McGregor for post-fight outburst, won’t likely fight Floyd Mayweather next - MMA Fighting

Do you think Aldo should have apologized?

Big Aldo fan and he's a humble warrior, but TBH I was liking the new "He can go suck a cane field of dicks" persona. If he'd been throwing zingers like that his whole career, he'd have held both 145 and 155 belts during his prime and likely given an immediate rematch with Conrad.

Legacy is about a body of work because nobody is perfect. This is common sense stuff and should not need to be typed out.

Aldo is judged based on 15 years of fighting.

GSP got knocked out by a journeyman in Matt Serra.

Yeah I figured Aldo had just misinterpreted Conor's remarks in the heat of the moment.
Both showed class here, Aldo with the apology and Conor for not ripping into him after Aldo's initial angry response.

It's nice to see them make-up.

Aldo showing he’s a classy guy and martial artist. Admit when he was wrong and raised himself to a higher level.
Him and McGregor should do a boxing match, give Aldo his rematch and final payday!

Farted in his face? What
First time I hear about this for real
Maybe I blocked the memory
Fucking casual
