Aldo is better than Stephens, but there's a good chance he'll lose anyway

Aldo will be his usual defensively sound self on the feet and show better technique than Stephens. He'll outstrike him, with boxing fundamentals and leg kicks. Stephens will get beat up, and might even attempt a takedown as a result, which will be stuffed. But I don't think Aldo will be able to take damage like he used to. He'll eat some shots while he's winning. He'll either win a decision in which both fighters look beat up, or it's likely that Stephens will eventually land a bomb that ends the fight.

I don't think Stephens is on his level. He's in the same sort of realm as Lamas, very good, but at FW and LW there is such a high calibre of fighter being very good and great and big differences.

stephens isn t as skilled as aldo s last opponents
unless he is completely shot he ll outclass stephens from start to finish imo

There’s not a whole lot of FWs that can eat Stephens best cheese regardless of what point in their career they are/we’re. Homeboy hits like a fucking truck for a man the size of an 8th grader.

I think we'll see UFC 200 Aldo. This is his first 3 Round fight since 2009, and has fought nothing but the best. I personally think Aldo outclasses Jeremy. I like Jeremy, and I was wishing Ortega woulda took the fight so Jeremy could've KO'd him, but I'd like to see Aldo get a win. Maybe Jere,y can fight Mendes after this. Aldo can fight the loser of Holloway vs. Ortega.

Jose Aldo has reached a point in his age where his body is no longer coping with the same weight cut.
He could reap the rewards of it when he was younger and his body had the capability to recoup from it but once you are in your 30s, that goes.
Problem is for Aldo, he likely sees his 2 options as lose/lose. Go up a weight class and face bigger guys or stay in featherweight where he is drained come fight night.
Same for Luke Rockhold. These guys who weight cut have a big fall from grace in their later years.
Does Jeremy Stephens cut a lot of weight to fight in featherweight division? Never hear about him struggling or looking drained. If so, it's like the opposite for him.

Aldo is done- that chin is cracked and he is shook after getting knocked out and tko’d 3 times out of his last 4 fights.

I actually think this fight is a lock, this is arguably the greatest FW ever we are talking about, not so long ago he was seen to be virtually unbeatable and the no.1 p4p fighter on the planet and Stephens couldnt buy a win.

Aldo has a glass jaw. If Stephens catches him he’s getting laid out again

It's true, Aldo's better everywhere except KO power, but Aldo trades with fighters so he will most likely give Jeremy a chance to land that big shot.

Jeremy missed vs Bermudez. He's a big cutter and used to fight at lw.

Idk wth was up with Stephens in the Moicano fight, he got schooled by a guy that wasn't even ranked (no disrespect to Moicano) then went on and destroyed Giblert, TKO'd DHC, and then KO'd and severely injured Emmett. He's an up and down fighter and has truly reinvented himself in these last few fights. I'm super impressed, but Aldo is way better in every department. I think Stephens will be swinging for air and Aldo's gonna capitalize on those mistakes, he also just needs to beat the shit outta Stephen's legs.

Aldo 30-27 UD

If Aldo's leg-kicks show up in full force, he'll get Stephens outta there. But if he lets Stephens hang around without having delved out serious punishment to those legs early, Stephens will put Aldo to sleep.

Stephens lost to Moicano. Sometimes he shows up, sometimes no

WE will find out. Bookies have it pretty even. They both have the potential to Finish the other. Have to agree on your analysis..

If Aldo gasses in the third round like he did against Max then he is in trouble. I dont know what happened to his cardio since he used to only gas in the fifth. Either we will see Aldo of old show up and school Jeremy for 3 rounds. Or we see Aldo gas after a few exchanges then get KO'd. Jeremy is tank and I can see him taking Aldo's best shots and push the pace to test that Aldo stamina.

I am rooting heavily for Aldo. I really want to see him go out on top. What an amazing career he has had. His highlight reels is some of the best. LEGEND.

Everyone with half a brain knows Aldo's skill set is far above Stephen's...BUT, Jose hasn't had his head in the game for a while now, wanting to quit MMA, go be a pro Boxer (wtf), "I'm refocused on MMA", now talking about retirement again...fucking hell, I swear he's bi polar.

Anyways, I have no doubt that even Aldo at his worst is superior to Jeremy...but he CAN get KO'd (again). If Jose goes in trading mode, thinking he's some boxer again-boom.

We'll see. I'd love to see his offensive grappling.

I think Aldo is shot and lost his motivation. A few years back, he would have wrecked Stephens but I think he is getting violated by Stephens today. It is retirement time for him.
