Still one of the more baffling cuts UFC has made over the years. He was entertaining and skilled. Lost to Edwards and Nelson and got cut. Definitely deserved another shot.

The UFC wanted him to take a pay-cut and Albert wasn't having it. That's why he left the UFC.

Whats the holdup? Theyve been talking about him returning for over a year now.

MMA media should get on this and give the fans some answers. I read somewhere that Tumenov has been re-signed, back at ATT and is now just waiting for an opponent but that might just be some fan speculation.

Tumenov was such a fun fighter to watch strike. Hopefully he stopped neglecting his grappling.

I think I've seen only one of his post-UFC fights (and if I remember it right he won by KO/TKO in first or second round) but I've seen more than once comments that his wrestling/grappling now looks even worse than before.

Didnt he have visa issues or something as well?


Anyway I love watching the guy fight. His striking is some of the best in the division. UFC needs to book him ASAP.

Not visa issue, he just didn't have American visa and to receive one now you should leave Russia and come to some other country and aply there.
Holdup -- no visa and UFC holds events only in US. For example, I've seen interview with Rinat Fakhretdinov, who was signed earlier this year -- he doesn't have visa and embassy in Kazakhstan told him that they can interview him in September/October and not before that.
