Elections Alabama Special Senate Election Live Results Thread

Are the remaining districts heavily dem? I don't get the NYT's report. What a exciting race.

I think there are a few hundred thousand votes left, Jeff Sessions has 800K in 2014, but that was unopposed.

Seems likely there are over 200K votes left, assuming turnnout is going to be at least at that mark.

I think it's fair based on the interest/importance of this race we'll see more voters out.

Just call it.

The battle to even have a plausible case that Alabama isn't a land of shit bags was called years ago.
We should genocide all of those that live in Alabama, right comrade?

Like others have said here the NYT are pretty accurate when it comes to their election coverage. They were correct in presidential election

As a republican I hope Moore loses.
I agree too, even though seeing Moore win and making the virtue signalers cry would be great but that’s not how I want to see things happen. “If it upsets the left it must be a good thing” isn’t what’s right

67% reporting!

Moore Rep. 380,207 53.4%

68% reporting!

Moore Rep. 384,124 53.5%
Jones Dem. 324,211 45.1

Dude, just accept the fact that there are parts of this country that simply REFUSE to accept your bullshit.

LOL

Like religious liberty, racial equality, basic science and economics.

But pedophilia? Now that's just alright.

We should genocide all of those that live in Alabama, right comrade?

Hmmm

You don't seem to know what "genocide" means.

I'm officially more interested in the NYT prediction machine.

69% reporting!
Moore Rep. 394,563 51.8%
Jones Dem. 356,300 46.8
Write-Ins — 10,619 1.4

70% reporting!

Moore Rep. 401,467 51.8%
Jones Dem. 363,307 46.8
Write-Ins — 10,968 1.4

To be fair. They had it at 80%

That's still very high, at least in light of the polls I personally have seen.

Coming in, I would have figured it at least 70% Moore.

Now, granted, urban precincts are generally later to respond since they are more densely reported to.

Nearly 11,000 write ins (1.4%). Could be some major butthurt if the race narrows down to that level.

71% reporting!

Moore Rep. 402,774 51.6%
Jones Dem. 366,105 46.9
Write-Ins — 10,996 1.4
