Not seeing a whole lot of talk on Al's abilities other than his standup. Anybody wanna give us a proper rundown of his takedown defense and ground game?

His TD defense is 78% and he’s 67% successful on his own takedowns. He’s fighting Khabib, none of that matters.

the chiesa fight was almost 6 years ago. clarke also got him, but that was also 4 years ago.

i think the intriguing thing about this fight is that we've no idea where iaquinta is right now because he hasn't fought much in the past few years, but he has been winning convincingly. 4 years is a lot of time to improve if you're working hard.

but then again, he could get taken down and choked in a minute.

His TDD is pretty good. As for his ground capabilities, sometimes it seems like he's the grappling equivalent of a head hunter. He takes alot of high risk, low reward chances like flying scissors for heel hooks and usually ends up on the bottom.
