Crime Ahmaud Arbery shooting v3

but didn't point it at someone, and didn't verbally threaten to use the weapon,

I'm not sure on the aggravated assault charge honestly, I thought you had to discharge the weapon for that, but what I read from some sites it seems you dont.

So you are going with the video I posted was edited now....?
No, that isn't required (though it is possible). I've pointed out there is no clear image of a weapon being pointed at Arbery anywhere in that video.

Nope its on TMZ. Take them for what they are but they do good reporting. They basically frisked him for being black, then tried to taze him after knowing he didn't have a weapon on him and while he was complying.

Do they have the full bodycam on there or is it snipped and what not? Thats my point. People are going to see what they want to see in both, imo.

I agree with you for what its worth.

This is the lawyer representing his family.

That’s not an argument.

Just because some other people do it, doesn’t make it right.

If a cop pulls you over for speeding, you can’t say “well, I saw other people speeding!”. Good luck with that.

Why don't you just say what you mean?

Anyone with two brain cells to rub together can see that the motion is raising a shotgun to the shoulder.

Maybe you can pretend like you've never seen a movie. You can't explain the motion, but it very clearly is NOT someone holding up their hand to say "hey buddy, maybe stop so we can ask you a simple question about your basic trespassing, friendo". Maybe you've never gone to a gun range with a shotgun or a rifle, but I assure you, that is the motion of a long-gun being raised to the shoulder. It's instantly recognizable to anyone who has seen an action movie or been to a fucking gun range.

Maybe he was aiming a Nerf Gun and then grabbed the actual shotgun in the two seconds he was out of frame, ran to the front of the truck, and shot Ahmaud to death with the real deal?

You are arguing out of your ass, and I can't figure out why.

Say what you mean, Mick. This shit is just getting annoying.

This is an embarrassment of a smear attempt. Ahmaud was clearly agitated that he was being profiled. He had no weapons, no drugs, and refused a search. He was agitated but ultimately complied with police up until they wanted to search his car for no reason.

Definitely will be used to try to elicit "scary black man" emotions from the public despite the fact that he was unarmed, complied with police orders, was not arrested because he did nothing wrong, and that the most egregious thing about that video was a cop trying to tase a man with his hands up. He just didn't have the "right" demeanor in the eyes of a certain type of person. They'll imagine themselves in a hypothetical confrontation with a "combative" Arbery and they'll imagine themselves feeling afraid and thats all that will be needed to justify everything that happened. Then all they'll need is a few of these folks on the jury.

You don't need a clear imagine. Only reasonable suspicion that he did.

If you see someone trespassing, do you think it's morally right (because we know it's not LEGALLY right) to chase them down for a prolonged period, cut them off, and then shoot them?

If you see someone fleeing the scene of a crime, is it illegal to pursue them?

Is it illegal to carry guns in Georgia?

If someone grabs your gun, I assume you would just stand by and let them?

This is such a retarded base-level analysis that I'm not even sure how to respond.

Jesus Christ.

I wonder if those kids were “jogging” 20 miles from their home? Just kidding, they’re like 10 years old, not grown ass men, and they probably live in the neighborhood... what is this video supposed to prove?? Luckily they got this crack lawyer on the case, he’ll figure it out!

Ain't you the Anglo hiding out in Japan? Makes sense why this post was so bitchmade.

@AgonyandIrony I'm not gonna quote that because certain mods might use it as a reason to ban you.

But you're not wrong. I'm sure it was perfectly "legal" and there is probably a correlation for dudes looking for legal loopholes.

Loopholes that don't exist, by the way. This is a murder case. Through and through.

More importantly, it doesn't establish the identity of these people, if they had a criminal history like Arbery's, if they were from the neighborhood, if they were familiar to the people in the neighborhood, if they had been reported and suspected of the string of crimes by other neighbors as Arbery had (a suspicion we know from another neighborhood caller on the day of the incident), and most importantly of all, that McMichaels was privy to these other trespassings. We know for a fact he had personally witnessed Arbery trespassing on that property two weeks prior to the shooting.

He was less than 2 miles from his house genius.

Appeal to ridicule. That’s all you got.
