"Ah, the champion" - Mike Goldberg

I miss Goldie. He has passion and even though he'd fuck up sometimes he was always entertaining. Anik seems like a nice guy but is just so bland.

Bring the old music back too, IMO. I miss the dramatic music over the gladiator intro, followed by INTO PIECES!!!!!! Used to get me so hyped and I don;t even like that sort of music.

I liked him, but I don't miss him at all to be honest.
He isn't the same at Bellator.

Me too! Is Goldie the most professional announcer? No. Did he somehow fail to learn almost anything about the sport after years and years of watching it? Yes. Is he one of the most entertaining anouncers I've ever listened to? Hell yes! Even when fights were boring, Goldie just had this puppy like enthusiasm that I really enjoyed. I haven't heard him in Bellator yet, but his UFC work always came across as very genuine. Especially compared ot someone like Anik who has a more traditional style.

The "play-by-play" guy who doesn't even know how to call the action. And the "color" guy who ends up doing the play-by-play.

Him and Rogan are a big reason why MMA commentary sucks! When you have a comedian as your lead man, you set the bar that low. By the time you replace them, the replacements suck even worse. Because the bar was set low 20 years ago and never improved.

The only good PBP commentators were Ranallo and Quadros from PRIDE.
