Honestly I think he would have. As much as I like Lawler, he is too easily hit and does not have much of an size advantage. I would have Conor as a -200 favorite

Conor has shown an ability to dominate top WWs.Definitely. He would have put on a masterclass performance against him similar to what he did with Alvarez, only without the threat of the take down. It's easy to replace the image of Alvarez with the image of Lawler in your mind: bald white guy in black tights, spending all night trying to strike with Conor only to repeatedly get countered, has a strong chin but proves to not be enough to withstand Conor's power, etc.
