Aggressive android popups

Lately the page im looking at will blank and a video will start, without any action from me, not even clicking a popup. Video just starts playing. I back out of it furiously.

It's alarming. Android chrome, what can be done? I can't visit this site and have random videos, possibly malicious, simply start playing by themselves. That's a step beyond simple popups.

1. Location/Country
2. Device
3. Browser
4. Company/product of ad.
5. A screen shot if possible,
6. Brief description of how the ad is a problem.
7. Page/Pages affected
8. Date and Time of occurrence.

However, you mentioned popups, as if something was hijacking your screen and taking you to a new location without your permission. The ads are just simply irritating, populating as you scroll down and not taking you elsewhere?

Perhaps not strictly popups, then, hijacking my browser. I meant intrusive ads.
Unless starting videos on their own counts? This is also typical.
It may not be a browser hijack, but for all intents and purposes it may as well be, most of the time I have no clue what I did to click the ad.
They do seem to self generate at times, though everything is so slow that it's hard to tell exactly what's happening.

I realize I'm talking into a void and there's no chance in hell I'll get feedback, but now ads are appearing MID THREAD and are even harder to avoid.

I have a thread about the increasingly aggressive ad situation and was asked to provide screen shots of the problem.

I did so, and there's been silence since.
Do you guys not have any IT folks, someone who can answer?

Unfortunately, when it comes to ads that are in the middle of threads, there's nothing we can do. We have absolutely no control over ad placement.

We can only report ads to tech if they're harmful or offensive, or automatically redirect users without anyone clicking anything, other than that there's not much we can do.
