UFC 304 Bonuses: Paddy Pimblett Cashes In $200K

PaddyPimblett will need a caddy for the bonuses he won Saturdaynight.

The rising lightweight prospect cashed $200,000 in bonuses forsubmitting Bobby Green in the first round at UFC 304 with an uber-slick triangle. Pimblett frustrated Greenon the feet before Green unwisely level changed and took him to themat. Pimblett seized his opportunity and snatched up thesubmission, putting him to sleep in front of the screaming fans atthe Co-Op Arena in Manchester, England.

UFC interim heavyweight champion TomAspinall raises his stock every time he steps in the Octagon, and he upped his bank account by $100,00 on Saturday with afirst-round knockout over CurtisBlaydes. While Dana White still seems set on making theJonJones vs. StipeMiocic fight, Aspinall has only raised the pressure on Jones tofight him for the undisputed title.

It was a good night for heavyweights as Michael“Mick” Parkin also took home a $100,000 bonus for hisdevastating first-round knockout of LukaszBrzeski. The undefeated Parkin (10-0) could find moreopportunities in the future as he creeps into the Top 15.

White revealed at the post-fight press conference that UFC 304would likely be the last time bonuses will be above $50,000.

“You can thank everyone on this card for that,” White said. “Nobodyfought any harder. There was no sense of urgency. ‘Holy sh*t, Iwant the $100,000.’ Seven straight f*cking decisions.”

Did you just hear that candyass?

“Being so late at night (paraphrasing). Are you surprised the crowd was so lively?”

That asshole has never stood in line overnight to see a Rock and Roll show.

Or never been to one with no sleep for 24+ hours.
Hey temp I share your view. Honestly couldn't believe how many people were whining about it. I've stayed up all night for many a show. Long live staying up all night!
