There were a lot of rumors going around in Russia that Fedor has so many injuries in his back and legs that he can no longer wrestle and grapple at the same intensity as he used which is why he evolved into a more of a striker but that judo throw was fucking beautiful. Sent Mir Flying and he didnt even have an underhook. Makes you think that Fedor could have done the same thing to Fabio Maldonado and maybe even Mitrione who wasnt heavier than Mir was tonight. Mitrione would have been hard to toss but I think Fedor could have wrestled Fabio down to the ground if he really wanted to without having to take all that brain damage.

Either way amazing performance for a 41 year old. He did a good job of managing space and distance while pressuring Mir. Hes definitely way slower than he used to be but as they say power is the last thing to go and Fedor can still crack.

Been a fan of his since 2004 and it was an absolute delight watching him punch Fronque Mir into a concussed state.

Over time I've gone to appreciate Fedor vs. Maldonado as first and foremost a great fight.

Fabio deserves props for that fight. You can see how wild and sloppy Fedor and Mir fought yesterday, and in comparison comprehend why Fabio succeeded. At the same time Fedor showed more heart in that than when he got Randleman slammed.

I just wish the bout was correctly scored a draw. It could have set up a big rematch one day.

Bones ain’t innocent, never once said that. Fedor is not clean either. Most his wins came in pride where they didn’t test and promoted steroid usage, but sure he didn’t use lol.

He was so looking forward to Mir beating fedor he's enraged having to deal with our delight at him dispatching yet another former UFC HW Champ and in fact being the first to beat the big 3 in the UFC from that era and finished all 3 By strikes in under 5 mins......


There's nothing from fedors performance to detract from so he chooses to bring up a false narrative that fedors a dirty fighter which is really only detracting from his own credibility which is non existent to begin with.

Fedor fought for PRIDE where IF he used PEDS he was doing so against a level playing field unlike Jones who is a straight drug addict cheat.Fedor was tested throughout his Sambo Career and on American soil multiple times and never once popped for anything meanwhile guys like Josh Barnett tested positive against the same exact testing.So make whatever false narrative suits you for the moment to help yourself deal with the fact fedor won......
