Thing with London is you can get a train back to the west country after the event because they run until 1am. Cardiff stop at like 11:30 going back east and the hotel situation is terrible. I've done wembley so much now either for wembley arena, wembley stadium, or just staying in wembley because it's easier getting out the next day.

there used to be like a 02:30 coach back to Devon from Victoria. (I mean there still will be, just not sure of the time)

We did London for the day many times. 0200 coach out of Exeter, arrive in London 0700, then do the same coming back that night.
