Fightful Select: Person of influence at WarnerMedia does not want The Briscoes in AEW

Fightful states that there are no imminent plans for the Briscoes to join AEW, or for FTR and the Briscoes to have a match in ROH.
The Briscoes are currently scheduled to wrestle on Super Card of Honor, but this decision was made before TK bought the company.
Fightful does not know if TK is or was even interested in signing them or not. Briscoes had another homophobic incident in 2018.
So the TV suit dummies are telling TK what to do?

It just seems ridiculous to hit the reset button on literally every story line in the span of one show. Is basically as if they have Russo as their booker.

Exactly, bingo! Thank you. This stuff just screams of the last two years of WCW with Russo writing it. Starting and stopping storylines randomly, it's a like a fountain of ideas flowing with absolutely no thought put into the organization and long term structure of those ideas. Continuity is crucial and it seems like they're just saying, "Eh, fuck continuity. Let's do another Dusty finish with run-ins from multiple stables. Everyone will have something else to do next week anyway."

That’s part of it too and why Becky didn’t want to be onscreen with Seth because then she just becomes “the girlfriend” so she made sure he was the one who got his identity taken away and turned into “the boyfriend” <Lmaoo>

Triple H: ... and then Seth comes out to save you and ...
Becks: That doesn't work for me, brother.

I'm not following the criticism of AEW lacking continuity or not building storylines. The show started with the continuation of Eddie/Jericho and the splintering of the Inner Circle which has been building for weeks, maybe longer. Cole continuing his feud with Hangman. Not thrilled with it, but certainly not a reset. Cole dealing with the bickering of RedDragon and (fuck) the Young Bucks has been building since RedDragon arrived. Wardlow declaring himself free of the Pinnacle has been building for months. ATT has had its sights on Sammy and the TNT title for quite a while too, so them cheating to win the belt is hardly a reset either. Mox and Danielson teaming up has been building for more than a month, since Danielson started "scouting" Mox's matches. Then you had the FTR firing Tully surprise and the Hardy getting fired surprise which wasn't really a surprise since we knew Jeff was coming but storyline wise did come out of nowhere.

I'm supposed to be a resident AEW "hater" but even I can't say their angles are last minute entries.....some of them are terrible, but it was terribly planned out.

Hot af....and no I don't know her.
hahaha I wouldn't think that
She's from a local tribe here and I saw her when she won Mrs. Universe Canada for the first time.
And then she was on Amazing Race Canada.

One of Alberta's greatest treasures.

If there were examples I'd maybe be able to see the argument, but there's nothing to be pointed to.

Everyone will have something else to do next week anyway
lol Where are you getting this? PPV's are supposed to end storylines in AEW, which is why they have them every few months, not every month.
What you saw on Wednesday will probably continue on for a few months until Double or Nothing.

EVEN DEEZY DISAGREES WITH YOU

That and MJF/Punk/Wardlow are the only good storylines right now. I like pretty much everything Eddie Kingston does but how long was he feuding with Jericho before the ppv?

Terribly planned out in a matter of seconds while in the midst of a furious cocaine binge.

To be fair, I'm positive that if I'd been watching AEW since the beginning I'd like it much better, storylines and all. I just started watching last summer and I honestly just don't care about most of these wrestlers and stables to get invested in it.

The "cycling people in and out" thing sounds good in theory, but if you do it too often people can't get attached to the characters, which happens a lot in AEW.

It's a completely different show now than it was 3 years ago haha

Who are you referring to? The indie jobbers that were hired before like Marko Stunt, Janela, Kip?
Cause I don't recall anyone getting cycled out that wasn't going to last anyway.

Brian Pillman Jr. dropped off the face of the Earth but I guess he falls under "not going to last anyway."

Where's the hot shotting though? Wasn't that the original issue?
