It's true. Oh it's DAMN TRUE! Oh it's VAN DAM TRUE! I may even open a beer here in ten minutes.

Also I think a lot of AEW guys enjoy drinking and partying. Maybe too much based on how many of them end up trying to get sober.

Aubrey the ref. I recall her talking about drinking lots of white claws and then suddenly she is stone cold sober AA chip and all. I feel like there are more but maybe I'm wrong.
 
Watched Rampage this week. It was pretty damn good.

Andrade vs Sammy was great. Lotta fun.

Hook murdered some jobbers - great!

Wardlow vs the hairy dude was good. I have a feeling that Spears has a powerbomb or four coming his way in the very near future.

Deeb flattened somebody. Fine.

Conract signing was great. Popped for the YouTube line.

Main event was fine. Popped for OC quoting Vanilla Ice. Would've preferred Bowens to win, but whatevs.

Thoughts on Rampage:
  • Sammy vs Andrade was fine. Andrade has really grown on me, and I'm still over Sammy as the champ. I like him as a worker, just not feeling him as the champ right now. Please, for the love of Pete, stop with the two belts. I wish Darby would have interfered setting up a 3 way for Revolution, but not how this turned out.
  • Wardlow vs Comoroto was booked wrong, IMO. This match should have been Wardlow vs Aaron Solo. Why book 2 big guys right before the PPV? Let Wardlow go into Revolution looking strong. Yes he got the win, but getting picked up with one hand doesn't do a lot for the look. Its also pretty obvious Nick is bigger than most people he is used to working with. Just felt like a sloppy match. The Solo match would end the same, but Comoroto would come in to get heat. Him and Wardlow square off, then Spears comes in for the chair shot. Spears could rag on Wardlow that he can't fight a man his size, and this sets up the original match post Revolution. Also, getting your fingers smacked with a chair like that had to hurt like a bitch.
  • Deeb vs Generic Woman 4 was what it should be. I just hope the pay off for this isn't her vs Shida 4.
  • Bowens vs Cassidy was.....eh. This would have been better as a filler match, and for the ladder match spot. It is time for them to start pushing The Acclaimed, and even though I like OC, its time for him to take a back seat for a bit. I think he can work, but he really needs to find new "spots." The kicks are super played out, and so is the 30 seconds after he puts his hands in his pockets. "OMG he is too lazy to use the ladder" is done too. For a fun angle, I think they should have Casters raps suck for a bit since he got cursed by Danhausen.
  • Women's Title Contract Signing. I don't like these as promos, but I'm not gonna complain about Rosa being on my TV.
  • Reddit people are complaining that the show felt rushed. Personally, I liked how fast it was and the ground that was covered.
 
Baker's promo on Rampage was so much than her one at Dynamite 2 weeks ago. Hey, big Tony Khan, give her an actual purpose for a promo and she'll deliver. Don't just throw her out there.
