Well Eddie didnt go over the top rope. He went out through the middle rope onto the Apron, then up onto the turnbuckle, then out, but never over the top rope.

I brought this up on the night but none of the commentators said anything, so no idea if it was intended or not.

I presume that is what he was talking about.
