I feel like Jim Cornette secretly loves AEW. Guy has consumed more AEW content than 99% of wrestling fans. Guy pays for every PPV and watches every minute of Dynamite and Collision. AEW does so many things like territories in the 80's, there's no freaking shot Cornette ain't a fan of it.

But gotta keep the gimmick up, it pays the bills.

Sometimes I wonder if the gimmick just stems from him spending like 3 years bashing the hell out of Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks, then all of a sudden in 2019 those guys are the EVPs of a massive televised wrestling company.

Cornette seems like a very stubborn guy when it comes to his "beefs" and probably didn't want to back down and now here we are 6 years after not backing down got him a niche for his podcast audience.

I bet he'd absolutely love being part of AEW and managing a tag team or something in a different universe.
