While the set ups on the weekly TV shows aren’t the best for AEW, I know they will always deliver with their PPVs. WWE TV shows are mainly segments but they know how to build up the anticipation for their PLEs. The barely any wrestling on Raw or Smackdown will only continue or if not, get worse, with the Hollywood people owning it now.

The entire episode tonight was set ups and we actually got wrestling too lol

Ricochet vs. Kevin Knight got built after 2 matches tonight. They signed a hot young talent in Kevin Knight, actually put him in a feud with an established veteran and are building to their TV match.

The Ospreay/Brody vs. Takeshita/Alexander match were all people from the Owen Tournament, with a build at the end for Hangman vs. Fletcher's TV match next week, which is more build to the winner taking on Ospreay at the PPV.

They even did non wrestling segments that set up other shit for later that didn't eat up the majority of the show as well.

Kenny/Swerve/Opps vs. Elite/Death Riders

FTR vs. The Paragon on Collision on Saturday has been set up for weeks with Paragon constantly sticking their nose in FTR's business and now they fight.

Show was incredible last night.

Old Bucks dusted themselves off and had the best tag match all year.

The MJF/Hurt Syndicate storyline is way better than it should be. Shelton is having the time of his life in AEW.

Heel FTR is working.

The matches in general were VERY strong and Moxley better have a good match with Joe.

I thought the show was pretty good overall, some nice building for the next few shows and DoN. I know they won't do a title change but Joe is so good at being THE guy, he oozes that big player feel in the ring, promos, demeanor, leadership.

Bucks tag match was solid, they look to be in shape and motivated. If AEW plays their cards right they have a star in Knight as he looks very seasoned out there and fits the AEW style perfectly, him and Speedball made for a fun team.

DC family is ridiculously large, Archer and Romero are very out of place, even Trent imo. Josh Alexander put in some good work alongside big Take, id rather those 2 and Fletcher be featured as the 3 headed monster.

Happy to see Hayter back on track as her and Stat was a fun match. Mone was always going to win this tournament though so zero suspense since the bracket was announced.

Very much enjoyed Dynamite this week. Continuing the good momentum of 2025!

Opening segment was a tad odd, but good in that chaotic wrestling way.

Christian/Nick segment was fine. Highlight was that one fan near a mic saying "he got you that match, boy!"

Ricochet vs vs Briscoe was good. Surprising result, pleasantly so.

Stokely + FTR = GOLD! Died at Dax being a total dick to Ricky Morton. Glorious segment.

Bucks vs Bailey/Knight was fine.

Nice to see QA back.

Hurt Syndicate/MJF segment was good. They do have to be careful to not let it go too far into the comedy stuff. With MJF at least, he is being more careful to not lose track, especially with the Hangman segment later in the show. A thumbs up from me, so far.

Ospreay tag was fine. Asked ChatGPT to make a Don vs Taz graphic for All In. Died at the results.

You're right with the Statlander comment, but I don't feel like it's her time at the moment. Toni Storm, Mercedes, Athena, Megan Bayne, and Willow all feel in front of her right now as the big stars in the division.
