Kenny Omega was the first thing and Toni Storm had a great promo.. nothing else of note has happened since.
 
When I was a kid, the taekwondo kids used to get roasted and bullied when they would talk about their belts and how people should be afraid of them. In 6th grade I watched a taekwondo kid that was a "black belt" get beat up shoved into a locker by a gang banger.

I really don't want to watch a 34 year old taekwondo kid on my wrestling show where I'm supposed to suspend disbelief.
