AEW AEW CXXX: All I Want For Christmas Is For AEW To Kill It In 2025!

Had to step out during the Julia/Hayter match, came back to Ricochet looking like a pissed off tailor and had to shut it down before it got stabby (had my youngest watching with me, little too much for them yet). Went to go back and watch the replay, and could only get the Spanish audio version on Max 🙃 I'll take another swing at it later probably.

These set ups have been looking excellent lately.

Overall enjoyed Dynamite, The Hurt Business has been a hit, they have good matches, fans like them, they were trending on X for We Hurt People.

I like that anyone and everyone is going for the Death Riders now, they still feel like they have plot armor when it comes to the title at the moment though. Never expected to be All In on a final Jeff Jarrett run but let's get it!

Thought Dynamite was decent enough this week, if underwhelming considering the Max debut and all that. That Pointer Sisters song needs to go. There has to be a happy medium between that and the generic crap they had previously.

Hangman vs OC was fine. Fair amount of outside brawling. I am numb to it at this stage.

Lashley/Shelton tag was fine. Hopefully they don't drag out the Acclaimed split for much longer.

Hayter vs Hart was fine until the crap finish.

Mercedes segment was so pointless. She wants the no doubt, prestigious Rev Pro belt(!)

Three way was fine. Result was pretty much set in stone. The angle with Ricochet and Swerve afterwards was good. There could be a small amount of hope for the former, but I'm not betting on it. I'll give him a chance.

Jeff Jarrett and his glorious golden mullet. Should be interesting. I did find it funny that he was the only guy to get a proper in ring promo.

Pointless Hobbs squash. A promo would've been better.

MJF's promo was actually good! Been a while. I just hope he can control his worst instincts going forward.

Main event was fine. "Cope" is it? Well, the jokes will write themselves on that one.

I'm out on the Death Riders storyline meaning much. It's just another heel group in a long line of heel groups in AEW's history.

Someone at AEW needs to sit down with Tony Khan and tell Tony, "No, Tony, that's a bad idea."

Be it the new intro song from 1982, going along with "Cope", or his kneejerk booking.. Someone needs to step in and tell him "no".
