Anyone else feel like Edge is kinda replacing Punk? Teaming with Darby and Sting, and I could definitely see him teaming with FTR too

So I’m on my rewatch and I feel like Ricky and yuta should have gone on before swerve and hangman, as Bryan and ZSJ would have no trouble following them

FTR were waiting for him backstage and Darby was a big part on his presentation video and also hid him during the ppv apparently. He could easily slide into that CM Punk role right down to feuding with Jungle Boy lol.

I don’t think I’ve heard it? Go on
I can't remember if it was Cash or Dax, but one of them worked out at the same gym as Edge. This was before The Revival were signed to WWE, and they would spot for Edge without ever mentioning wrestling or that they were a wrestler. Eventually got to the WWE without ever needing his help and Edge found out soon after.

Could just see Jungle Boy saying he kicked one washed up legend out of AEW and now he's gonna do it again

I'm really hoping that part of the reason he was hired (apart from the obvious drawing power) is the hope he can be the steady, Undertaker-esque voice in the locker room that Punk couldn't be. They need a seasoned voice to steer the rookies (and the veteran rookies) and teach them how to make themselves and their product better. Punk was too abrasive to be that leader, maybe Edge will make it work.

Metalingus is an all-time favorite theme for me. I really expected Rob Zombie so I was elated when his theme hit

I don't really put too much thought into cagematch ratings, but Danielson v ZSJ is currently rated as the second best match in AEW history just behind The Young Bucks v Hangman and Omega. That's pretty cool to see.

Dunno if they need one or not. Things seem to be fine since Punk left and they've got Danielson stepping up backstage too
