his mma striking is so overrated, the only reason why people even consider him one of the best striker in ufc is that of his kickboxing record aka k1 striking myth.he missed 50% of his strikes(tbf some of them are feints) and got tagged 46 times(but he did avoided a lot strikes but is expected because of his opponent) by one of the slowest bum in ufc.

the next kickboxer thats going to get exposed is gokhan saki.his mma striking is even more overrated than adesanya
 
Yeah it wasn't the best performance tonight. But it was just his second UFC fight. He's clearly oozing with talent, give him a couple years and a few more fights and he definitely has a chance to be a legit contender.
 
EH, I give him a pass for now until he faces the MW killers. I thought Vettori would catch him but I was screaming at my TV calling him a retard for flailing his arms the way he did instead.
 
He's so damn fluid, but he lacks power, he has zero ground game and everyone in the top 5 matches up terribly for him. He'd have a shot against Rockhold because of his defensive tendencies but he is gonna get wrecked if he doesnt sure up on the TDD. TDD needs to be on point, thats much quicker to learn than 10 years of BJJ.
 
I'm shocked that you think an unranked fighter with two fights inside the UFC would lose to the champion, #1 ranked MW, or #5 ranked MW. Shocked. Well, not that shocked.
 
He can get outstruck by someone looking to mix it up with him but in pure striking, he's pretty damn sound.

He's fluid as fuck and he has decent head movement. Not gonna lie though, I didn't like the way he pulls back. That was the death of Uriah Hall and Anderson

He still fights like it’s muy Thai and they have 8 oz gloves. His chin will be found

The lack of power is the higgest concern for me. His TDD should get better but you csnt train much for power. That style got wonderboy to the top but blokes like whittaker, jacare and romero hit like sledgehammers. I look forward to seeing how Israel progresses
 
Yeah I was thinking how much I'd love to see Adesanya try to strike with a prime Anderson Silva

well he is.consider the fact people already saying hes one of the best striker in ufc after the rob fight
and after this fight,im not the only one who think his mma striking is overrated
 
He seems pretty technical but lacks power, especially for 185. Plus, his ground game is garbage
 
He is another hype, just like Cage. He will succumb in front of a high level wrestler if he does not evolve. I like Thompson, who really improved his wrestling to stay at top level competition.

Vettori was finding that chin with the straight left all night, and he isn't a great striker. Idk, adesanya is good but definitely not a phenom, and it's obvious he would have a bad time against a top contender, especially a wrestler.
