Adesanya is the real deal

Israel Adesanya, where have you been all my life?

Dominant, surgical performance

Great, charismatic promo

Push him to the moon please

He got impregnated by a punching bag with high school level wrestling the first round.

<6> It's wait n see for me.

6'4" middleweight with great striking? I think he could go far, but not sure about his grappling. He did a good job tonight avoiding the takedown, but I'd like to see how he does off his back. I'm impressed by his striking and look forward to seeing him get a real test.

Dudes striking is nastay.

Rearranged Wilkinsons face with those knees.

Guys nose was destroyed.

12 - 0, all 12 by KO.

he needs to train more TDD though.

Kind of same as SIlva though... highlight striking, but when taken down.... struggles...

There's no way that he's ready for a guy like Weidman, but he doesn't have to be yet. This was his debut and he's a developing fighter. If the UFC rushes him to the top then they'll waste a guy who has potential to be an exciting star and champion. If they pace his career then they could have a much needed future star.
I agree. But Weidman and guys like him are on top of the MW food-chain. They are the standard. So, he needs to have these guys in mind when training, because they are the guys he needs to beat to be a legend.

Plus, if he gets his takedown defense up to par, he will be a much better entertainer. He doesn't need to stop every take down. He just needs to reach a level where taking him down is a waste of energy.

You will work hard to get him to the ground, but you won't be able to keep him there. So, by the end of round 2, you will be drained.

Perhaps he'll offer Machida a glass of his piss.

Anik (or was it Jimmy?) said he is still a blue belt, so lots to learn. Granted it is under Andre Galvao, a monster. Let's see how he develops.

No he’s not.

I agree, that's why I said "yet." He certainly has to prepare for fighters like Weidman and the top dogs in the division. We just have to give him time for that. I do think he's better suited for 170 though.

No doubt his striking is legit

But let's see him against a high level wrestler first. Also, what camp is he with?
