Media Adesanya: "I know exactly what to do to get the guy"

Likely solution, take him down in later rounds or win teh first 3 or 4 so you can coast teh final roundz

It's really crazy how Izzy keeps losing to teh guy in teh final hour after winning the striking exchanges across the whole fight. A simple correction in later rounds could do him some justice.

Izzy lost the vast majority of the striking exchanges in their last fight. It's why Izzy ending on top in the 3rd round was such life saver for him. If Alex didn't make that mistake he probably would have finished Izzy that round. There really isn't a simple correction for Izzy to make since he's outmatched on the feet and doesn't have the wrestling skills to take Alex down.

That's completely false.

-Pereira won every minute of the first round minus the last second of the round in which he got rocked.
-Pereira won the stand up in the second round
-Pereira won the stand up in round 3 ( for how long the fight was on the feet in that round)
-Izzy won round 4, minus the last 2 minutes.
-Pereira won the stand up in round 5 ( or the 2 minutes that it lasted)

So, the fight was 85% on the feet and Pereira won 70% of the stand up.

I was watching with my friend and right before Alex tried that stupid takedown in round 3 I told him that I'm confident Alex is finishing him before the end of that round ( round 3), then Pereira attempted that stupid takedown that ended up with him on the bottom.

Adesanya will loose again.
He will not try to knock Pereira out. Everytime in the UFC he did that. He got clipped. he tried to do that against Gastellum. He also tried it once against Romero. After that he never tried it again.
brawling doesn’t end well for him.

his gameplan will be wrestling.
He thinks he can win that.
They will be both be exhausted. The difference is that Alex has still knock out power when he is fatigued.

from distance point fighting with leg kicks won’t work either. Both Alex and Blazowich checked his leg kicked. His legs were gone in the later rounds. These kick-boxers know how to check kicks. He ended up hurting himself with these leg kicks.

I don’t see how Adesanya can win this fight.

This is a good, honest breakdown. I came here to quote and make fun of you but everything here makes sense.

Odds are based on making profit from predicting how people will bet.

Yes, at first. Then as it goes they become more about how people have ACTUALLY bet. Sports books don't want to bet themselves. They want to balance both sides. At this point that fight has seen enough action that the odds are certainly balanced according to the bets coming in.

I bet he knew he exactly what to do going into their last fight too.

That has nothing to do with my comment. Also, start watching fights instead of reading about them on a forum.

All that bollox typed up when the simple fact was that Izzy was 3-1 up on the cards heading into the last round LOL

Im sure you are just being facetious, but since some people really think this way, I'll post this here:

"The gambler's fallacy is the incorrect belief that, if a particular event occurs more frequently than normal during the past, it is less likely to happen in the future (or vice versa). It may be believed, for example, that the next dice roll is more than usually likely to be six because there have recently been fewer than the expected number of sixes.

In other words, despite that one would statistically expect Izzy to have won one already, it doesn't make him any more likely to win the next. I feel like people are subconsciously betting him on this fallacy. I can't see why people would bet on him as a favorite otherwise given their history and that more time in MMA should benefit Pereira more than Izzy.

It is the same as with gambling, the chances don't get better the more you try, every single time its the same one in a million chances. So they never improve.

However with Izzy i think its a worse situation, his chances are actually pretty high, just keeps getting the short end over and over.

It would make a better storyline, but too many fight fans are much too savvy, and something scripted would kill the credibility of UFC as the gold standard of the sport and absolutely sink the company.
since when did the UFC care about credibility LOL....you are giving the "fans" too much credit for being savvy...we live in a dumb down society...same with the Jon fight....Jon will (the UFC will see to it) .....Francis will come back and fight Jon....all this is just a way to put a "legit" belt on Jon to have a champ vs champ fight and make a boat load of money.... don't worry about Gane .... he will be well compensated off the books.
