saw this in the HW forum... apparently HA are providing security and "vigilance" for ADCC in Barcelona.


ADCC even links to the HA website.


do you guys think this is cool or not?

Not all HA's members are criminals (although a good chunk are). I guess it's good in seeing people earn an honest living, I just hope they don't add to the fire rather than diffuse it (In the case a brawl breaks out).

I'm fine with it, but maybe someone should ask the Rolling Stones.

I know sure as hell that I wouldn't start any shit anywhere if the HA were in charge of security.
 
Must be some serious corruption in spain for that to happen, how much security do you really need for ADCC. It's also odd the powers that be from UAE would be willing to deal with local 81...
 
i personally think it sucks and is quite unprofessional


grappling and mma can't really hope to reach the mainstream if its associated with HA


what's next, having the mafia do security? al qaeda too perhaps?

lol the modern day Hells Angels aren't a terrorist group. If you were to say this back in 1970 I would agree with you to an extent... moreso on the mafia comparison instead of the terrorist one.

I would like to remind you that the modern day Hells Angels opposed the Fred Phelps lead protest of dead soldiers funerals, and would even show up to use their bikes to drown out the sound of the nut jobs chanting "your son is in hell."

If you think the HA are equal to Al Queda, you are an idiot.
 
The standing of the 81 is very different in Europe than in North America.

They are very well established in the security business and run a lot of the doors in many European cities.

So no big deal there. The place I work at has Angels as bouncers and they are doing a good job.
 
It's not uncommon for members of organized crime groups to have legit jobs as bouncers or within security companies.
 
No opinion of the HA's angels themselves as I dont know how they CURRENTLY operate nor do I know how they operate in foreign cities.

As a business though I dont get why one wouldn't seek out a professional executive security agency if for nothing else the PR.

If you are trying to take a sport like grappling mainstream I dont see how having a group with the image the HA's have is going to help. Seriously whether good or not the perception of the HA's might actually keep some casual fans away that may have gone otherwise.
 
Who cares who's at the door...Are you looking to start chit? Do they scare you? ..you're there to see grappling matches.
 
I was there and nothing happened with the HAs. In fact I don't think there was any security problem whatsoever, and the risk wasn't big with such a low turnout (there were like 300-400 people altogether, and 99% of them were grapplers and martial artists themselves).
 
Yeah, I mean with almost no attendance, outside of grapplers and families, plus the horrible commentary, I think who is doing security is the least of their worries.

The way the whole event is going it seems it is more for the athletes sake (great competition and good prize money) than for making it a spectator eevnt. At this point at least.
 
If the Rockafellers or any other of the elite Federal Reserve banking family members were there would anybody care?? No! but its funny how ppl would care if the HA were there doing security. The media has twisted things around so much. Yeah the HA do a lot of bad shit, but its not even close to comparisson what the Federal Bank Reserve/New World Order Government does. They make the HA/Bloods Crips/Yakuza/Triads/Mafia all combined look like some kindergarden bullies on some playground in Frog Balls, Arkansas. There nothing compaired to them.

Chuck Zito has been a Hell's Angel for like 30+ years and was the leader in the New York City Chapter. He says he stepped down now but I don't believe it....Once a brother always a brother. He ran a legit bodygaurd business before getting into acting and protected celebreties such as Sylvester Stallone, Pamela Anderson, Michael Jackson etc..

Full patched HA members actually don't do any crime. They hang arounds the guys who wanna be full patched member do all their dirty work, to prove themselves in order to get a full patch while the full patched guys sit back and get all the money. They are very very slick and well organized group.

yeah, but that's not the problem here. they were in full uniform displaying the hell's angels patches and even have a link on their website.

bad for the sport IMO.
