Roughly translated.
"Dana called me at daybreak telling me about what happened and asking if Aldo was in shape to fight. I said he wasn't and there was not enough time so unfortunately he wouldn't be able to fight next week."

Probably not true, but don't let that stop you, Sherdog.

Misleading thread title.

Aldo didn't deny the fight, his coach Pederneiras said it wouldn't be sufficient time to get his fighter in proper shape.

Why would he even take that fight? He cannot afford another loss.

I'll count this as another pullout since he staTed he was doing a training camp for this very situation

Even if this is true,it could be for many reasons.

Perhaps Aldo would have wanted the fight to be for the FW title, and neither of them can safely make the cut to 145 on this short notice, especially with no IV's.

Well, they refused to step up, so I don't see your point.

I want the rematch as much as anyone but not like this. It would have to be a non-title LW bout too, which doesn't really make any sense.

Well getting knocked out isn't that fun, don't blame him

Why should Aldo do a solid for a company that has publically denounced him and shown little respect to him as an all time great?

If it was me, I definitely wouldnt assist them.

I agree in not doing it for the UFC. The reason to take it would be for himself. Never know next time a fight like that gets offered. With him out of shape it is really a nonissue.

My point is show me a quote from Aldo saying he doesn't want the fight.

Thanks in advance.

Wait, so you think Pederneiras owns Aldo and just makes decisions for him without asking him first? You just took Sherdog to a whole new stupidity level, congratulations!
